Compiling For Sale...

Kathy Schmitz Table Banners Set

I spent part of the day assembling sets from my vast collections of kits and patterns. This is a twelve pattern/fabric set of kits for sweet table mats. I've stitched all of these and they're ready to assemble into a seasonal quilt, so the ground fabric is missing from the kits, along with the small appliques (in color) for each one. If I were to do this set again, I'd plan to embroider or applique' the missing elements.

I'm going through all my patterns, kits and fabrics, and pulling those things I know I'll never finish. I'll offer these for sale soon, and whatever isn't sold ahead of time will go with me to the Purge & Splurge event in June at Primitive Gatherings. I'm going to have some great deals!

Primitive Gatherings - Twilight Gatherings BOM 12 kits/Fabric

Case in point...These quilt blocks were all part of the Primitive Gatherings Wool Box subscription. I have all twelve kits, including wools for each block. I also purchased the flannel that is the ground fabric for each block, and another 4.75 yards to use for finishing.

When all twelve kits had been distributed through the Wool Boxes, anyone who wanted to complete the quilt to king size needed to purchase the kits and patterns for the large center block and vine-laden borders. I chose not to do that for a few reasons. Mainly, we no longer have a king size bed, and I decided not to spend the extra money for something that would have to hang on the wall when it was complete. I chose to stick with a finished size more conducive to either my farmhouse bed or the queen size one.

You can see the kit was dated 2018, and truthfully, I haven't gone back to it since stitching the first block (minus some wool circles) and setting up the second block. I've not determined that with light and dark dogs, as well as two cats who love to sleep on my bed, I'm going to offer this kit (at a nice discount) to someone who'd really enjoy making it.

I'm pulling and photographing more, and will plan to make everything available to my blog, Facebook and Instagram friends first. If you see anything you'd like, just shoot me an email and I can message you the prices, including shipping.

Today is craft day in Portage, so I really need to get rolling. Enjoy your weekend, and I'll tell you all about mine on Monday. Gotta run...

American Gatherings...

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings "American Gatherings" Fabrics and Book

My dear, sweet Handsome drove me to Menasha yesterday morning to pick up my Wool Box at Primitive Gatherings. (My right knee is giving me enough grief that I didn't think it would be a good idea to stress it by driving myself.) Of course, Tag, Bella and Carly rode along.

I needed a few other things while I was there, so I set aside the wool colors I needed, and then grabbed a copy of Lisa's latest quilt pattern book, American Gatherings. Of course, I knew I'd need some of the fabric line, too, so I figured a couple of charm packs, a jelly roll, and a couple yards of fabric would be plenty to make a nice, patriotic lap quilt. Something that would hang nicely over the rail this summer, or be just the right size for a nap on the porch.

I needed a yard of natural colored wool, but there wasn't any in the shop, so I prepaid and Debbie (who works at the shop) promised to ship it. I decided to wait until we got home to open my Wool Box, so I could really savor the contents, so we drove home and I brought my "haul" into the house.

When we arrived back home, I got out of the truck, I came around through the garage and saw Claudette waiting for me on the driveway. She was giving me that "Where have you been?" look. I knew what would be tumbling out of the truck into the yard behind me, so I quickly tried to shoo her toward the barn. I wasn't quick enough. She meowed, and I saw her fur rise and her eyes get big.

I turned around and the girls had seen her. The chase was on. She turned for the nearest hideout, and ran to the kitchen garden to jump into the hollyhocks (which are a veritable jungle). The dogs ran in behind her, and she came flying out the other side (fur all bushed out), and tore for the barn. By then, Tag had joined the pursuit and they were close behind her.

She managed to make it to the barn doors and flew through the opening, leaving the dogs panting...proud of their chasing skills, and it took Handsome and me more than a few minutes to get them off her scent, and coming back to the house. After leaving their piddles behind (a gesture of "There! Take that, strange fur beast!"), we all went into the house.

I went back out about fifteen minutes later to find Claudette in the loft of the barn. They wouldn't be able to get her up there. I called her down and she let me hold her for a bit. I had a little conversation with her about the wisdom and staying in the barn when she heard a vehicle. Or not. Now that she's fully aware of how fast our dogs are, perhaps she'll know to continue to stay just out of reach.

I took my purchases up to the studio and brought the Wool Box back downstairs so I could take my time going through it - only to find it was the same Wool Box I got last month! How could this be? I called and Debbie answered the shop phone. I told her she'd given me Box 14, and I though we were due for Box 15. Was I wrong?

She asked me to hold, went to the stacks of boxes behind the counter, and came back to tell me they'd stacked 14s on top of 15s. She was so apologetic, and then told me that the natural wool had been brought over from the warehouse, so she'd send my wool and Box 15 to me yet today, and I could bring Box 14 back next time I was going up there. (I told her I'd take it back next week.) So, I have my new fabrics to play with, but I'll have to wait for my Wool Box.

That's okay. Perhaps I'll be giving Claudette lessons in staying out of the hollyhocks, and heading to the wood shed when she feels the need to stretch her legs. Honestly, my heart can't take the stress of the chase. Now that she's back, I just want to keep her safe from all the predators, apparently, including at least two fast Labradors!

I'll be working on "Everlasting" this weekend. We'll see how far along I can get with it. I'll share updates next week.

I hope you have a restful, reflective Memorial Weekend. I'm grateful to all who sacrificed for our freedom, and those who are currently serving. God Bless them, and God Bless America.

(Not So) Gray Jay Bird Block...

Brynwood Needleworks - "Everlasting" - Gray Jay Bird - Box 6

I had time to complete this block from Primitive Gatherings' "Everlasting" quilt project. You can see that I made my blue jay blue rather than gray. We have lots of blue jays at the farmhouse - year round - so it seemed appropriate that this would be my first modification. It appears I also added a little weight to my version. Gosh! I hope he can still fly!

Because of the color change for the wool for my bird, I also changed the colors of Valdani thread that I used.

Brynwood Needleworks - "Everlasting" Gray Jay Bird Detail

The design called for wool legs and feet, but I opted for stitched instead, creating bullion knots for the toes. I also added different stitching for the wing.

I'm working on another bird from the blocks today. I'll finish that one and share it with you tomorrow.

I got to my physical therapy session yesterday morning, only to find out that I'd written down the wrong day, soooo I'll be starting my day today with the correct appointment, and then I have an appointment with my primary care provider this afternoon. I'll stitch in between. Looking forward to needle dancing. Medical visits? Not so much.

"Everlasting"...

Brynwood Needleworks - My Version - Primitive Gatherings' "Everlasting" Blocks

Now I'm setting up my blocks from the Wool Boxes from Primitive Gatherings. There are twenty four in all, so I have a little way to go. I have six finished so far.

You'll notice from looking at the pattern next to each of my blocks that I've changed the two buildings above, so they resemble our farmhouse (on the top left), and our Compass Barn (on the top right). I'll add the porch rail to the farmhouse when I do the embroidery. I'll also add the wagon wheels and compass to the barn when I embroider that block. (I'll probably add two black Labradors and a wee Corgi in front of the barn, too.)

Brynwood Needleworks - My Version - Primitive Gatherings' "Everlasting" Blocks

You can see from looking at these two blocks, that a lot of the details will be embroidered. I'm looking forward to starting these, but I'm going to finish setting up the other twenty first. That's what I'll be doing again today.

It's so cold outside that even the dogs aren't asking to go out, so I can get a lot accomplished during the day. I begin by feeding Tag and Bella. I go outside to put birdseed into the feeders for all the little birds trying to stay warm. Lastly, I head to the Compass Barn where mama cat is currently residing with her two kids. I make sure they've got food and water, and I moved the crate - filled with straw - over on top of my southern workbench (there's a window there). The sun's been out, and when I check on them during the day, they're lolling around on top of the crate in the sunshine. I'm doing my best to keep them warm, and it seems to be working. Then, I have my morning coffee...and smile.

Embrace the good. Find reasons to be joyful.
I love and appreciate all of you.

Waltzing...

Brynwood Needleworks - Slow Stitching

There really is no need to hurry. Today's needle dancing was more like a waltz. Slow and steady, and in my case, without any whirling around.

I'm working on a small kit I just received - and of course, I'm giving it my own signature - but I can't show it to you just yet. I'll continue to work on this, and show you as soon as it's allowed. That's all I'll say about it for now.

I have another autumn piece I'll be working on soon, too. That one I'll be able to share as I go, so you'll see more of it soon. For now, I think I'll put on some soothing music, as I work this one to completion.

Happy "Hump" Day!

So Far, So Good...

Brynwood Needleworks - Fall Pillow Detail

 I embroidered yesterday!!

I have more to do before this is complete, but I got quite a bit finished. Here's what's left for now...I need to stitch down the leaf on the far left end of the vine, and finish the veining on it. I need to finish the added scroll stitching on the "Fall" wording, and then I'll be able to attach it to the checked pillow fabric and sew it all together.

I love the autumnal colors, the checkered pillow fabric, and the entire design. I can't wait to finish stitching the design so I can put it all together. I'll be working on it again today, and hope to finish it by the end of the day.

Ready For A Little Needlework...

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings' Fall Pillow Kit

I think I'm finally feeling like doing a little needlework now. I'm not allowed to lift more than five pounds for the next month, so my activity is quite limited from what I'm used to. I'm pretty sure a little gentle needle dancing will be allowed.

I'll set this up today, and then begin the embroidery portion this afternoon. I'm looking forward to completing the last seasonal cushion design from the Wool Boxes. (I've already finished Spring, Summer and Winter.)

I'll share my progress with you tomorrow. Expect a few changes. You were ready for that already, weren't you? wink

So Many Projects, So Little Time...

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings' Wool Box Kits

In addition to my own designs, handcrafted bags and wallets, and quilt projects, I also have an abundance of kits to work on. These are just a few from recent Wool Boxes from Primitive Gatherings that are waiting for my attention. Yikes!

I have a few custom orders to complete and mail; a baby quilt to create for an upcoming family Birthday; and then, perhaps I'll tackle one of these kits. The "Thankful" kit was from last fall! I might have to do that one first.

I have a post-op followup with my doctor first thing this morning, and then I'm going to pull the fabrics for that baby quilt. I think I'm going to have to get back to making lists. It seems I accomplish a lot more when I have a list.

Do you ever keep daily lists? Do you decorate your pages, or just write things down on a piece of paper? I tend to keep spiral notebooks with my lists. As I complete a task I can check it off. If it doesn't get done that day, I move it to the top of my list for the next day. I rarely draw pictures on my pages, but maybe I could draw little images to remember something significant from the day? I'll have to think about that. Wait. Wouldn't that be adding to my projects? hmmmmm

I'll be back tomorrow. I'll try to have a few peeks of my baby quilt project. I hope you'll be back to visit, too! Have a great day.

One For Me...

Brynwood Needleworks - Ivory Hydrangeas

After all the Strawberry Sachets I've made, can you believe I've never kept one for myself? Nope. They've all gone to new homes (except for the ones still available in my shop). I decided to rectify that yesterday.

It seemed appropriate that I'd begin this one on World Embroidery Day. I think this one will be done in ivory florals.

Brynwood Needleworks - Ivory Hydrangeas

I'll continue with this idea today, after I have a long-overdue visit with my girlfriend, Kathy D. I couldn't get to Primitive Gatherings for our Sit & Stitch this month. (Covid test pre-op required quarantine until the day of surgery - and our S & S was the day I had to take the test.) That means I didn't get my bi-monthly Wool Box either.

Kathy was kind enough to pick mine up for me, so she's bringing it over, and we're going to spend some time together to catch up. The weather should be nice, so I'm planning we'll sit on the porch and share a cuppa tea or coffee.

Did you stitch yesterday? If so, what are you working on these days? I'd love to know! I'm still trying to find someone to help me put "reply" capabilities on my blog comments. Lacking that, please come back to read replies if you leave a comment. Now that I'm on the mend, I'm trying to catch up and be better at responding. Thanks for your patience. I'll see you again tomorrow.

Play Day With The Ladies...

Brynwood Needleworks - Lisa B. and Lori - Lisa's Newest Antique Quilt

I got to play with my "Sewcial Sisters" (the name of our Sit and Stitch group) in Menasha yesterday. We always meet at Lisa Bongean's warehouse and offices for Primitive Gatherings. There weren't as many ladies in attendance because the weather was a little iffy. It did snow/sleet for a while late morning, but it was fine for our drive home. It's nearly an hour away from the farmhouse for me, so I'm grateful for fair weather over foul.

Lisa always shows us her latest projects, and whatever ideas she has in the works. This time she shared a peek at her latest vintage quilt acquisition. It was gorgeous, and in pristine shape. All hand pieced and quilted, it was really stunning.

She showed us what's going to be in the next Wool Box, too, and if you don't subscribe, you may want to reconsider. She also told us that they've decided to limit the subscription boxes to one thousand. (They have somewhere around 975 subscribers now.)

I can't find a link on their website, but if you're interested, contact the shop for more information. I've screen cap'd their info web page for you. (Click on the picture to enlarge it, or go to THIS link.)

Brynwood Needleworks - Lisa's Newest Quilt Top Design

I took lots of photos yesterday, but most of them are Top Secret for now. Lisa will roll out the new designs on her time frame, so I can't share them with you yet.

I did purchase some fabric to finish a Betsy Ross Flag Quilt project I started last summer. I want to complete it, and I knew she'd have the perfect background fabric for me. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I'm running all day today. Bella has a vet appointment; Handsome has a doctor appointment, and I have a hair appointment...all in different directions. Run, run, run! I'll see you again tomorrow.

Needlework Therapy...

Brynwood Needleworks - My Version of The Primitive Gatherings "Winter" Pillow

Yes. There's nothing quite as recuperative for me as a weekend spent needle dancing. I'll be in Menasha tomorrow with the Sit & Stitch ladies, so I wanted to finish another project for "Bring & Brag" (my term for "Show & Tell"). I also have the minis from the last Wool Box that I'll show, too.

As always, I changed up my version, so it's not exactly like the original pattern. I used DMC Etoile Embroidery Floss for snow on the branches, and for the snowflakes around the cardinal. (I wish you could see the way it sparkles!) I also "augmented" the buttonhole stitch used to embellish around the outside of the cream-colored wool. Mine is a little heavier than the original.

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings' Version

This is the cover of Lisa's original pattern, included in our last Wool Box. These designs won't be available to the public yet, as they were exclusive to Wool Box subscribers. I expect they'll be for sale in six months or so, but that's just my guess. If you slide back and forth between the two photos, you can see how they differ.

I still have designs to stitch from the last two Wool Boxes (the "Autumn" pillow, for one!), so I'll set up more to work on later. These projects are portable, so it's nice to have something ready that I can just grab and take with me.

Tag will be back to visit with you tomorrow. We got snow again, and you know how he loves snow! I'm as interested as you are to see what he writes about. I'll be back again on Wednesday. Have a great week!

Winter Minis...

Brynwood Needleworks - My PG Winter Wool Box Minis

I finally finished stitching all the wool minis from the Primitive Gatherings Winter Wool Box. There are two more that say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year", but I'm not sure whether or not I'll do those. I'm still contemplating those.

Brynwood Needleworks - Winter Minis Detail

Of course, I added details to make each of these mine. I don't usually copy the design exactly. I especially liked adding French and colonial knot details, or in the case of the snowman, skates and snowflake, using metallic threads.

I used a beautiful metallic DMC Etoile Embroidery Floss on the snowman's scarf. Etoile is a stranded floss that's almost like a fine yarn. By using all strands of a light grey/silver Etoile - and a lazy daisy stitch - I was able to make the scarf actually look like...a scarf. wink I used a Kreinik metallic thread for the skates and snowflake, and then more white Etoile French knots for the trim on the skates.

Now that all the embroidery is finished, I'll attach the backing to the front and join them using a blanket stitch. I'll have them finished by the end of the day. Aren't they sweet? Lisa has provided great inspiration, once again, in our bi-monthly subscription Wool Box. I'm already looking forward to the next one. (I have more projects from the Autumn and Winter boxes to complete first, too.)

Winter Needle Dancing...

Brynwood Needleworks - PG Winter Minis

Whether I have other projects waiting or not, sometimes I just need to slow down and stitch. It renews me. It makes me feel happy. So, yesterday, I took out some of the minis from the latest Primitive Gatherings' Winter Wool Box and set them up to stitch. By bedtime, I'd completed my embroidery on three of them. (I'll assemble the fronts and backs once I've completed all of them.)

Brynwood Needleworks - Blocking A Completed Shawl

I also finished knitting a beautiful organic cotton shawl. I cleaned and blocked it, so it will be ready to package and mail to my sister-in-law as an "extended" Christmas gift.

All in all, it was a nice day finishing a project and tackling another. On another note, my trail cam had to be sent off to Browning. It's not capturing any overnight images, even though wildlife is triggering the shutter. The infrared flashes aren't firing. I contacted Browning, and it's already on its way back to them. (I'm hoping they return it - repaired or replaced - quickly. I want to see what's enjoying my evening buffets!

Heading into another fun weekend, so I'll let you know what else I manage to complete between now and Monday. I'm also contemplating what my "Inspirational Word for the Year" is going to be. I'll post about that on January 1st.

All Clear...

Brynwood Needleworks - My Renditions of Primitive Gatherings' Wool Box 5 Minis

First, let me apologize for not posting yesterday. I don't even know how that happened! You know how faithfully I'm here with you every day. I guess painting railing parts got to me more than I thought. sheesh! I took two Advil™ and went to bed without another thought. My aching bones were apparently louder in my head than my "Don't forget to write your blog post" voice. I'm so sorry!

I got word late yesterday that we were okay'd to share the contents of the latest Wool Box from Primitive Gatherings. Apparently, everyone who signed up for the subscription received them. Of course, I wanted to show you first!

These are the fronts of the minis I've already stitched for this box...Top to bottom: Goose silhouette, flying in front of the full moon; pumpkin; turkey in a Pilgrim's hat; pincushion; and Acorn. (The acorn is an inset because I finished it last.) You'll remember, I already showed you the three I designed myself of the corgi, labrador retriever and autumn tree.

Let's see, I stitched the goose as presented. I added a leaf and tendrils to the pumpkin. I added a black band on the turkey's hat, and the turkey now has a wattle, too. I stitched the pins in silver metallic thread and added beads for the pinheads. I added veining on the oak leaves, and French knots to the acorn caps for acorn-y texture. Aren't these fun?!

I've completed all of them from this box, and also from prior boxes. So far, there are twenty four of them that I've finished. (There will be fifty two by the time we're through.)  I'll be setting up another piece now, to stitch in the evenings.

Brynwood Needleworks - Wool Box 5 Insert Showing Contents

Every box comes with a full-color sheet showing the box contents. This one is especially awesome. First, there is a larger-than-usual piece, "Thankful" in this set. Don't you just love the newest pillow cover, too? Fall is my favorite time of year, so I'm more excited about these contents than usual - and that's saying a lot!
There's a little organizer box (we can purchase the divider insert, if we want); recipe and stitch cards; the minis; two new "Everlasting" blocks to add to the others; and two locally made (and delicious) soft caramel candies that come in every box! This time, I shared one of my caramels with Handsome. yum!
I'm having trouble deciding which to do next...the pillow cover or the large piece. I guess it doesn't really matter, because as soon as I finish one, I'll go right to the next! I guess you'll just have to wait to see which one I choose.

Something else exciting began yesterday, too. The railings are being installed on the porch! The south exposure is finished, but I'm going to wait to show you photos until it's all done next week. I was just so thrilled to see how they look that I'm fairly busting! Let's hope the weather is good on Monday, because they should all be done by then.
I managed to get everything painted in good order, so I may just take the weekend off to play. You know "playing" means "stitching", right?

I Can Share These...

Brynwood Needleworks - Brynwood Minis

I can share these with you, because they're my own designs. I wish I could tell you right now which ones I substituted in the Wool Box, but we'll have to wait a bit longer.

Anyway, I decided Tag and Bella should each have their own mini, and the tree with the colorful, falling leaves is perfect for this time of year.

I spent the day out in the pole barn, painting railings. After Handsome got home from his morning appointment, I decided to spend the rest of the day indoors. I set these up while in the studio, and then stitched them while we watched baseball last night. The Brewers are out, but our second favorite team - the Tampa Bay Rays - made it into the playoffs, too. They won! So for the rest of the playoffs, we'll keep cheering for the Rays to go all the way.

It's been raining since last night, so I'm watching the weather. Morning coffee, and then back at the painting, which I should be able to finish today...which is good. I'm getting tired of painting, and I have other work that needs my attention. Nose to the grindstone will have its rewards. Namely, beautiful railing on the new porch. I'll just keep reminding myself of that fact, and the work will go much easier. Gotta run. They're not going to paint themselves, you know.

Silver Lining...

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings Wool Box #5

Handsome had an appointment with his eye doctor yesterday, so I had a chance to spend my time in the waiting room working online.

It was raining again, so I didn't work in the pole barn when we got back home. Instead, I took some of the minis from the latest Primitive Gatherings' Wool Box, and set them up for stitching. The Milwaukee Brewers were playing their Wild Card game last night, so I knew I could stitch during the game.

I can't show you all the fabulous projects in this box until after we get word that everyone has received theirs. There are nearly one thousand boxes currently being delivered to the participants, in all parts of the globe, so I must be patient. This is seriously the best box so far!

Brynwood Needleworks - Box 5 - Four Completed Minis

I can share the four minis I completed last night with you...but only the backs. Sorry to be such a tease. These are really cute, and I promise to show the fronts just as soon as I'm allowed. I really don't want to spoil the excitement for those who haven't received theirs yet.

The Brewers were in the lead all the way up to the eighth inning. The Nationals gained the lead in the bottom of the eighth, and three outs later, they were celebrating their win. Handsome and I - along with all the Brewers fans and players - were disappointed. Our season was awesome, but now it's over. We'll all be back in the spring to cheer them on again, hope that maybe next year...

More Wool Box Projects...

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings' Everlasting Kits

Each Primitive Gatherings Wool Box contains two kits for an ongoing project called "Everlasting". I've been setting these aside as I stitch the other projects, but now I'm pulling my materials together to begin working on them.

The kits contain the pattern and fabrics used for each design, and while I'm using some kits as they were packaged, I am going to change some of the fabrics to some that will be more to my liking. Don't get me wrong. They're all beautiful, but I'm not sure I want some of the darker colors.

I've pulled some of the Valdani threads, but will wait until I've decided on all the wools to pull the rest. Then, I'll begin the process of fusing, cutting, placing, and fusing again, so I can embroider whenever I get the urge.

Today, I'll be in the barn instead. All our materials for the railings arrived, so I'm going to paint a lot of the stock. That way, I'll only need to touch up after everything is assembled. The weather should be perfect for working outside, so I expect I'll get quite a bit accomplished. We'll see if I'm up to my ambition! Photos tomorrow...

Needle Dancing Of Late...

Brynwood Needleworks - Latest Finishes

While the porch project has been under way, I've been busy, too. Today, I canned Tomato Bruschetta (which is delicious, by the way). I'll share photos another time, as I'm going to be making more of it, but I've also been needle dancing!

I decided to work on more pieces from my Primitive Gatherings Wool Boxes. These projects are from Box #4.

Brynwood Needleworks - Primitive Gatherings' "Luna Table Mat" and "Late Summer Blooms" Pincushion

I set up and stitched the "Luna Table Mat" first, featuring pumpkins, acorns and flowers. Of course, I changed up colors (the flowers were more tan, but I thought I'd give a nod to the purple coneflowers around here. The pumpkins were more gray, so I chose a cream with green/tan accents.),

Brynwood Needleworks - "Late Summer Blooms" Stitch Detail

Although I used the supplied wools for the "Late Summer Blooms" pincushion, I completed diverged by adding my own stitches to this piece. The only stitches that were suggested on the pattern were the crosshatching and bullion knots on the center motifs, and the fly stitch dividing each blossom. I did changed the pattern for the fly stitch, though, too.

Brynwood Needleworks - My Own Mini Design

Finally, the last mini from Wool Box 4 was designed to have words "Less Monday, More Summer". I decided, instead, to stitch my favorite late summer flower, Queen Anne's Lace.

Now, in each Wool Box, there are two blocks that will become one large piece. I haven't started those yet, because I'm going to change wool fabric colors. I'm planning to choose the colors today, and then start setting those up. That's the part that really takes the most time, but once it's done, I can pick up and stitch anytime...and that's my plan.

The stonework is finished on the porch, but I thought I'd wait to share more photos until the stone has been acid washed and sealed, and the soil has been placed to bring the grade up and cover the pink insulation around the base of the porch.

The soil is coming in today, and I suspect the power washing and finish sealing will take place on Friday. Next week, railing will be built, and then I'll be painting all of it. So, I guess I'd better stitch a bit more in the evenings, so all my pieces are finished by the time I get the next Wool Box later this month!

Canning, stitching, painting...oh, my! You can guess that I'm sleeping like a baby every night. Handsome and Bella are planning to leave Texas on Sunday, so I'll keep myself busy until I see them coming up the driveway.
