Mom’s Slipper |
Hi, Everybody!
It was a sad day. Mom discovered that one of her new slippers from Dad has been mangled. She was pretty upset. They were a Christmas present from Dad, and she loves them.
She showed this one to Dad and he was so shocked. He said he’d buy new ones for her. They know I’m not a chewer…even when I was a puppersnapper. So, there’s a lot of speculation about who the culprit might be.
Could It Be? |
I’m not gonna point any paws, but the evidence is pretty overwhelmin’. Bella isn’t one to randomly gnaw on footwear, or anythin’ else, for that matter. I’m gonna guess Her Cuteness is the culprit. I guess we might need to have a little chat.
Oh no!
ReplyDeleteNot Mom's slippers!

testing.....
ReplyDeleteWell, that's interesting! My previous comment refused to post and then, when I did a 'testing' it did....hmmm.
DeleteAs I was saying previously (!) - oh oh, someone's in the doghouse! So sorry about Mom's new slippers but I'm happy to know the culprit wasn't you Tag.
Hi Miss MA:
DeleteI've always been able to comment from my phone, but last night, there was some glitch where it wouldn't even let Mom or me sign in. Kinda frustratin'.
We agree. Carly's in the doghouse...at least Mom's keepin' an eagle eye on her, which is mostly the same thing. I'm glad it wasn't me, too. Last thing I need is to have Mom watchin' everythin' I do! hee hee

Our sweet Golden was never a chewer; HOWEVER, on two occasions when she was just lying on the floor with her head under a dining room chair (and the other time under the sofa skirting), her mouth was right up against the leg of the chair (sofa skirt) and after a while she started licking it. Then it turned into chomping it... until I shreaked! Both items were left with distinct chew marks (holes). Seemed innocent enough at the time, but were these merely tests to see what she could get away with? I'll never know. Perhaps the slipper was just an innocent taste test. (-; Or not. You'll have to set her straight.
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Lois:
DeleteWe have tooth marks on our teak dinin' table and chairs from Fezzik. (The corgi before me) Mom always thought it was sweet that he liked to sleep upside-down under the dinin' room table. It wasn't until after he was gone that she realized he left this gift for her. He chewed enough to need those snoozes to recuperate. Glad I didn't get blamed for that!

Tag I am so relieved it wasn’t you. I know how much mom loves her Acorn slippers. Maybe mom could “darn” that chewed hole. It is a very good thing that Her Cuteness is so Cute! Smooches from Sherry of createology
ReplyDeleteHi, Miss Sherry:
DeleteI'm glad it wasn't me, too. Mom loves those slippers from Dad. She may try to mend them, but she doesn't want to create a "rough spot" where she'd fix it. Dad promised her new ones, and she'll probably wear these with socks in the winter. Yeah. Lucky she's cute. Little creep.
Big Smooches,
xoxo
