Goldwork Floral Wreath (So Far) |
Take the smallest bud in the middle above. See those two little “antennae” stitcking up? The trimmed check purl thread isn't supposed to look like that (I don’t think). I’ll be asking Clara about that during our second and final session tonight. Otherwise, I feel like each flower or bud is an improvement in technique over the previous one. That’s a good thing.
I’ll be leaving here after lunch to drive to the retreat house at Primitive Gatherings. Dinner is at 5 pm, so I’ll be able to attend my Zoom class with Clara at 6 (central time).
Tag will pop in tomorrow, so I’ll have lots of photos and retreat fun to share on Wednesday. Please show my boy a little love in my absence.
It's so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your retreat!
We will take care of Tag. :)

Hi Marilyn:
DeleteSorry I didn't respond sooner. Glitches. ugh.
Glad you kept an eye on Tag. Perhaps we should add Carly to that list? lol

This is coming along beautifully. As I've said before, I really love those colours. Enjoy your retreat to the fullest and looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
ReplyDeleteTag is in good hands!
Hi MA:
DeleteFinally catching up. We had a good time. My only complaint was with soup every lunch time. I'll talk about that later.

I did see the tiny bud with antenna and knew that is not how you would leave those threads. Have a fabulous retreat. I look forward to all the details you.can share. Safe travels dear.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry:
DeleteThe material is a little wire coil. Sometimes the end "springs" apart and sticks up. I'm trimming those when they happen from now on. I don't usually see them until I look at my photographs. You're right, they do bother me, though.
