Brynwood Needleworks - Newest Project - Morning |
I began this project two nights ago, and then worked on it this morning. This was my progress by noon. I had to stop to get to Wendi's for a haircut, so I had to set it aside until I got back home.
Brynwood Needleworks - Newest Project - Evening |
I got home around 5 pm, and after airing and feeding the pups and Claudette, I could sit back down to stitch. Handsome had a concert out of town, and having already seen the same performance, we agreed I should just stay home. That meant I could needle dance while he made music.
By lights-out, this is how far I'd come. It isn't finished, as I'm working to create an oval floral arrangement by the time all is said and done. I'll be working on this all weekend, I think, but I thought you'd like to see my progress.
Today is World Cross Stitch Day, and I'm so excited that my girlfriend, Michelle May of The Raspberry Rabbits will be on a YouTube presentation. I'll be watching. Will you?
Your embroidery is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, I will watch!

Oh dear - I'm in a fit of giggles here because (please excuse my exceedingly warped sense of humour!)....but 'airing the pups' led me to a mental picture of all three of them, hung out on the clothesline. As I said...warped.
ReplyDeleteYour latest stitchery is another beauty, especially the large rose. It's a feat of engineering how you did that!
Hi Maggie:
DeleteNow you've got me laughing! Especially since we have what is typically called a second floor "airing porch", which I certainly wouldn't want to use for the purpose I'm referring to! hahaha! As for the rose, I'm still perfecting my understanding of the technique, but maybe I'll share how I do it in the future, when I have better motor memory of the process. Right now, I can execute it, but I'm sure I must look a little impaired to an observer. Practice. Practice. Practice.

This piece is coming along so nicely. Thanks for letting share in the progress.
ReplyDeleteHi Charlene:
DeleteThank YOU for wanting to follow along. I truly appreciate it.
Big hugs,
