Tuesdays With Tag - A Bella Update...

Brynwood Needleworks - Brynwood's Taggart

 Hi, Everybody!

Today, I'm coming to you from our new front porch. Mom's going to show you more pictures soon, but I can tell you that all of us are lovin' it!

Brynwood Needleworks - Our Beautiful Bella

This week, I have an update about my roommate, The Black Dog. I told you about a month ago that I was hopin' to be an uncle this fall/early winter. After three different tests in the past four days - somethin' called "ultrasounds" - the vets have all confirmed that Bella won't be havin' babies this year. We were all a little sad, because we were already imaginin' little, black Mini Boos runnin' around the farmhouse at Christmastime.

The silver lining in this little cloud, is that now that we know her status, she can have xrays and tests to see what's goin' on with her leg. She might even be able to ditch her stoopid splint! That would be great because she's gettin' really sick of it. She can also have a little medicine to manage her discomfort if she needs it, which wouldn't have been allowed if she had babies inside her.

Now, we'll have an appointment with an orthopedic specialist to see how her leg is healin', and whether or not surgery is in her future (we sure hope not!). Knowin' that there aren't puppies means she can have xrays or anesthetic, if needed.

In short, it's all about The Black Dog gettin' better now, and when all is said and done, Bella's health comes first. She'll be able to recuperate over the winter, and she and Rigby can schedule another rendezvous for the spring. Summer puppies sound better than winter puppies, too.

Well...I'm not one to beat a subject into submission, so I'm gonna end here. I won't be an uncle until 2020, but we'll make sure our favorite black dog is back to complete health before she tries again. We're good with that.

I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...

  1. I'm sorry Tag. I know how much you like puppies. You are right though about the silver lining. If you all can get her leg really strong and healthy she will be able to be a much better mom when the time comes.

  3. Thank you Tag for this Bella update. Sorry there are no puppies for now. Bella has been through so much this year she needs to recover and feel good as new before em”barking” on motherhood. You will be the Best Uncle when the proper time comes. Smooches Dear...<3
