Dogs on sheet-covered furniture; mama in her sweats with a lovely wool coverlet, reading her latest issue of Cooks Illustrated; Handsome taking a snapshot in time. Winter in Wisconsin, sans snow.
We ran errands together, accomplishing much, including tiring me out. We got home with carry-out (lazy woman's dinner) in hand. After taking care of dogs, cats and our own rumbling tummies, my knee was done in and so was I. Nothing further accomplished for the day, but rest. Today will be a different story altogether.
The dogs all look so comfy.
ReplyDeleteJust get some rest, today is another day.
Sometimes we just have to sit & wind down.
No snow here either, too warm!
Marilyn
Hi Marilyn:
DeleteHandsome and I put up the outdoor lights today. They're all white, and I'm thinking we may need to add color. The weather changed here. It was windy and too cold to do much more outside than we did today. I took care of the barn girls, made sure they were fed and warm, and then I skeedaddled back to the house. brrrrr!

Such a nice cozy moment.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary:
DeleteNo Better Homes and Gardens setup, but it's home to us...sheet-covered sectional and all. lol
Thank you, dear.
Merry Christmas!

Errands, particularly this time of year, are SO stressful! Thankfully I can say we are done, done, done and now should be able to lead a life of sloth for the next week. Except for the fact that I got a commission to make 6 jar openers, 6 bars of soap, and 13 (!!) dish scrubbies, all before the 12th of January (AND I have to wait for yarn to come before I can do the scrubbies)....no stress there!
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder Handsome is taking the photo because there's no room for him to sit!
Hi MA:
DeleteGoodness. You'll be busy for sure. You're right about the stress. I was done by the time we got home. No worry about Handsome being comfortable. HE sits on a lovely large, massaging (with heat) recliner. He's one spoiled guy! And, he has the perfect perch for taking pictures like this. Enjoy your time off!

Picture perfect evening, such a great end to a busy day.

Hi Shirley:
DeleteThank you, dear. I think he snapped this after I'd awakened from a wee snooze. At least I wasn't snoring. lol

It is perfect! It does look, though, one of the dogs is watching TV.
ReplyDeleteHi Salty:
DeleteActually, that's Carly. She does watch the tube. Tag only pays attention when there are other dogs on the screen. Bella's to aloof to concern herself with such things. I have to admit, it was pretty perfect.

Sherry of createology: Weran errands today and I am exhausted! Another full day tomorrow too. Rest is good. I love your array of comfort on the sofa.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry:
DeleteAll the walking (with my bum knee) is exhausting for me. I just wanted to sit down or lean on carts. ugh Thank you. It's pretty cute watching all three of them and their various poses. Enough so that I don't mind covering the sectional with sheets and quilts. giggle
