Red & Yellow Roses Sachet...

Here's a look at the completed embroidery I've been working on. If you'd like to see the completed strawberry, please click HERE to go to my Instagram page. The link should take you to an image of our Compass Barn and it will load a short video (turn on your volume if you'd like to hear anexcerpt of Ella Fitzgerals singing while you watch).

I'll be tending my garden for a bit today, and then my plan is to work on the goldwork hearts I started a few weeks ago. I guess I'm in the mood to finish my current UFOs, and then I'll be able to begin a very special brooch. I can't wait to share images and details as I work out what the finished piece will look like!

I'm looking forward to a restful weekend. How about you? What do you have planned for the next few days?

    1. Hi, Marilyn:
Thank you so much, dear. I do enjoy putting together the little videos on IG! I'm glad you saw it there. Your weekend sounds perfect! We're going to stay home and take it easy, too.

  3. Very beautiful!! Someone is going to love this, for sure.
I'll be spending today and Saturday starting a new landscape and Sunday will be in my easy chair in the living room with either some knitting or a good book.

    1. Hi MA:
Thank you so much! (I hope she loves it. Red and yellow roses are her favorite.) I'm doing gardening early or late as it's getting into the 80s these days, but your plans for a good book or knitting in a comfy chair sounds heavenly. Enjoy, dear!

  4. Sherry of createology: I do hope Handsome is recovering from his procedure. I viewed your video on IG and this Strawberry is gorgeous. Your roses are so very pretty. I am trying to reorganize some of my creative space. I do not know how it gets so cluttered! Working on my watercolors too. Happy Weekend Dear…

    1. Hi Sherry:
He's still very sore, so we're leaving the bandage on longer than planned. The thought of me washing his hair or even touching his bandage makes him very jumpy. I'm hoping he feels better tomorrow. He has a throbbing headache right now. Poor guy. I feel so bad for him. Thanks for your concern. My studio still needs lots of attention, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the things I need to do, so I decided to tackle tasks for 1/2 hour at a time, or stay in one room until it's done. I'll be concentrating on fabric this weekend. I understand the "clutter" issue more than you know, and I'm trying to set up a "recording area" to do online classes or videos in the near future. I'm going to be with Jan for a couple days next week and see what she can teach this old dog. lol Enjoy your creative weekend, my friend.

  5. The IG clip really shows how gorgeous this berry is.
Restful weekend is the plan here also.
I hope Handsome is doing well, it is difficult knowing that every four months he has to go through another procedure. My husband has Stage 4 kidney failure and like you it just hurts my heart to see what he has to go through. I tell him everyday that I will always be his safety net.
Your upcoming projects sound lovely as always.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Dear Shirley:
Thank you so much. I love doing those little clips, and I agree, it gives a better glimpse of the project that can be accomplished with my still images. Handsome is still in pain...a headache and such tenderness on the incision spot that he doesn't want me anywhere near the bandages right now. I hope he'll feel better tomorrow. I'll pray for your husband, sweet friend. I know it helps to know that we are the safety nets for our spouses and vice versa. It's a promise we made decades ago, and you and I take our commitments seriously. I know our guys do, too. You'll both be in my thoughts. I hope you have a restful and happy weekend, my friend.
