Opossums and Friends...

I spent Monday working on swapping closets so the contents match the purpose of the room. My clothes are now in my new bedroom, and sewing supplies are in the room that is now my studio. I have much to sort through and purge, so this is going to take longer than just one day. I was gassed mid-afternoon and called it quits for the day.

I put a leash on the Corgi, and took him and Bella for a short walk and then let them run around a bit. These fabrics were waiting for me in the mailbox. When I feel the sewing machine calling to me (maybe next week), I'll turn these into new Matty Two-Zip bags. For now, I'll just look at them.

    1. Hi Marilyn:
I only purchased samples of all of these (except the opossum fabric on the left), because I wanted to see the quality. I'll be getting more in the weight I need soon, but will make small bags from these in the meantime. We had a nice ride out together, and will likely make a quick trip today, too. The weather is supposed to turn again this afternoon, so we'll be off right away this morning to get what I need.
      Hugs,

  2. Awww - such cute fabrics! I'm curious to see what other animals are on the raccoon one - it does look intriguing. I've spent the better part of the morning doing an online search for fabric to work with my hexie quilt - not an easy chore, particularly when I'm limiting my search to wide backs.

    1. Hi MA:
I only purchased a sample size of this one to see the weight of the fabric, but will be ordering a yard or two soon. The fabric is called "Nocturnal Critters". There are owls, raccoons, opossums, bats, mice, moths that I could see from the image on the website. The sample I got only shows the moth, owl, raccoon, and most of a red fox. It's pretty cool! Have fun with your fabric search!

  3. Sherry of createology: You never fail to have more energy than I do. Changing closets and ongoing purging is exhausting. Glad you took the afternoon off.

    1. Oh, believe me, dear Sherry. I'm mostly slothing since Saturday. I've only spent a few hours upstairs - except to sleep. I want to make a batch of cookies to ship to FL to Handsome and his hosts, but can't seem to stir my stumps to get after it. Perhaps today I can get some baking done. As for the upstairs...It's getting better a bit at a time.

  4. Oh I love the fabric. I enjoy the sort, purge and organize, but I really have to be in the mood, if I'm not serious about it I just end up moving things around and get nowhere. And it seems like there is always something I find that I forgot I even had, which leads to a whole new distraction.

    1. Hi Shirley:
Thanks! It's going to be fun sewing up a few projects with them. I know what you mean about needing to be in the mood. So far, I'm having trouble motivating for more than an hour or so. Good thing I have time between now and when Handsome comes home. I have lots stacked all over upstairs right now. He's not a fan of chaos. I'm still unpacking and sorting from the show, and want to get things listed to sell online, but then I want to clean up, too. sigh Little by little I'll get it done.
