Aren't These Cute?...

Brynwood Needleworks via Facebook - Glasses Case Needlework Kit

I found these on Facebook last week. They're all needlework kits created from glasses cases. Aren't they cute? Imaging how portable they'd be, too.

I may have to try making a few one of these days. They'd make great gifts for holiday gift exchanges for crafty friends.

What do you think? Could you find a use for one of these? Would you make one for a friend or yourself?

  1. I've thought of making one of those, but I've never quite done it. I have the perfect case right now. Maybe now is the time?

  2. I am always in awe of the creativity of people. Any time recycling is involved also pleases me.

    1. Hi Judi:
Thanks for your note. I'm always inspired when I see what people come up with, too! These are especially useful and clever to me. I'm sure I'll make one (or six) at some time. Next time I'm out, I'll definitely be looking for these hard side cases to repurpose.
Thanks so much for your note!
      Blessings,
      Donna

  3. Oh I would so LOVE one of these! I have a 'thing' for hussifs and sewing kits of any kind. I dream of making Carolyn Pearce's 'Home Sweet Home' workbox and someday I hope I will.

  4. Hi, MM:
You and me both, girlfriend! I love hussifs, cases, kits, caskets, boxes, and needlework toolkits of all shapes and sizes. I'm definitely going to have to make some of these. I'm going to have to look at Carolyn Pearce's workbox to see what you're talking about. I'm not sure I've seen it before.
Thanks again for the notes (and for helping me accomplish this little "reply" gem)!

    1. I've made several crazy quilted hussifs (of my own design). If you're curious have a peek at my blog and look for the 'hussif' category in my sidebar. Lots of pictures to scroll through! (https://magpiesmumblings.blogspot.com)
