Tag Will Be Back Next Week...

Apologies that Tag won't be posting today. This week we're focused on my sister, Lyn.

Yesterday we received news from the doctors telling her that she will not be eligible for a lung transplant. Her body is too frail, and she's too ill for consideration. She wants to go home and has accepted hospice, so now her daughters are trying to make that happen.

It may take up to forty eight hours for all the needed equipment to be installed in her home, and truthfully, we're not sure she'll make it. We believe that now that she knows there's no option for a transplant, she may have given up her fight. She's tired. We're heartbroken.

We're doing our best to be strong for her daughters. I ask for your continued prayers as our whole family tries to come to terms with this latest, devastating development. Thank you from all of us.

  5. I'm so sorry for your sad news yesterday! Continued prayers for this very difficult time! I know what it's like to say goodbye (for now) to a sister. My only sister went Home to Heaven 6 years ago (after 7 terrible weeks in ICU), but, I know I'll see her again. I hope the same assurance for you, and that your dear sister will be comfortable and feel cherished in these upcoming days...

    1. Thank you so much, dear Lois. Your prayers are appreciated more than you know. I'm so sorry for your loss, too. I can't imagine what the world will be like without her in it. I deeply believe in a future reunion with all our loved ones, and it sustains me as we face her imminent passing. His promises are true. I have great faith in that.

    1. Thank you so much, dear Jillayne. We're so grateful for the thoughts, prayers and notes from all our friends. Now that she's home and being sedated, we find comfort in the fact that she's not suffering now, and will be able to pass peacefully. That's a true blessing, even though it's so sad for us. We keep ourselves in prayer and do our best to honor her.
