A Beautiful Day (and Evening)...

Brynwood Needleworks - Thursday Night Sunset

I spent most of yesterday outdoors. Handsome and I finished dressing our upper yard (near the new porch) with mulch. I have plants yet to put into the ground, but wanted to be able to walk the entire area before deciding where I want them.

We also mowed the yard, which takes about two hours when we each ride our own mowers. Even being out in the morning, I managed to get my first sunburn (not too bad) of the season, so I'll be much more careful the rest of the summer. I just didn't think about it before going out this time.

Brynwood Needleworks - First Fire Of The Season

After dinner, we put our first fire of the season in the fire pit. It was still a little light out, so you can see our woodshed, which is filled to the brim with wood. As we no longer have a wood burner in the house, we'll use that wood for fires on evenings such as the beautiful night we had last night.

Brynwood Needleworks - Roaring Flames

We sat outdoors, enjoying the mild weather (without mosquitoes), and talked until the sun was well below the horizon.

Brynwood Needleworks - Tag, He's Got Our Backs

Of course, Tag enjoyed the evening with us. He sat behind Handsome's chair, making sure no one sneaked up on us. (I think, "I'm Batman" when I look at this. lol)

I'll be putting my newest plants in this morning, and then, Handsome and I are going to take a little trip up the Valley (Fox River Valley is the designation for the west side of Lake Winnebago, here in Wisconsin) to go to Primitive Gatherings. They offered curb-side pickup of our next Wool Box, so we'll drive up together to get mine. That way, I'll get to play with the contents over the weekend. I'll finish stitching the Strawberry Rose Sachet, too.

Monday is Memorial Day, so I'll share my projects with you after Tag's visit on Tuesday. Our puppies will be four weeks old Monday, so we're hoping to have new photos to share with you when Tag visits with you. Enjoy your weekend, and stay safe.
