Brynwood Needleworks - I'm 8 Years Old! |
Hi, Everybody!
It's been a week of celebratin' here at the farmhouse. First, we celebrated my Birthday!
But we were also celebratin' some pretty awesomely wonderful weather, too.
Brynwood Needleworks - Enjoyin' A Spring Day |
Yesterday we had the chance to actually hang around outside most of the day. Mom was fillin' feeders, cleanin' up the yard, and hangin' out clean laundry on the line. The wind was whippin' around quite a bit, so it didn't take long for our sheets and blankets to dry. I had to check a couple of times just to make sure nothin' blew away. (It's okay. Nothin' ended up in the field.)
Brynwood Needleworks - Late Afternoon 04/09/19 |
The temperature got to almost 70º, and with all the sunshine we had today, Mom had all the windows open (and the boiler turned off, too).
By late afternoon, we noticed that the sky was changin' in the north. She heard that we may get snow on Wednesday or Thursday, which we really don't want. Our flowers are already comin' up out of the ground, and the grass is gettin' green. Look at that sky, though. Isn't it pretty?
By the time the sky looked like this, all our stuff on the clothesline was dry, so Mom figured we'd better get all the clean sheets in before we got some weather.
Brynwood Needleworks - It's Rainin' |
Sure enough. It started to thunder, and then it rained hard for a while. We went out on the porch to look at the sky, and Mom took this picture. She didn't edit it at all. The sky really glowed in real life! It was still rainin' after it got dark, but by the time we went to bed, it was just a little windy, and cooler than it had been all day.
It was so nice to have warmer weather again. We hope the weather dude is wrong. We really don't want it to snow again. April showers bring May flowers. Not snow storms! The robins are back, and we're watchin' to help if we do get snow. We'll make sure all the birds, opossums and other critters get fed if it does, but we can hope it doesn't right?
Oh. I've got a riddle for you, too.
If April Showers bring May flowers...what do Mayflowers bring?
Give up?
Pilgrims, silly!
Good one, right? Right?
(Stop groanin', Mom!)
Gotta run. Don't put away your winter coats yet, just in case you need 'em!
I'll see you again in seven, 'til then...
"Live Like Someone Left The Gate Open".
Hi Tag. That sky photo is truly gorgeous. Mother Nature really knows how to keep us on our toes. Nice you had a day outdoors and got some chores done. Fresh laundry on the line is the best kind. Keep Celebrating every day my little Corgi Cutie...xo
