Brynwood Needleworks - Cork Key Rings |
When I wrote my first blog post in March of 2009, I never dreamed that I would faithfully continue to write every day since, with only one exception...the week after my sweet, little Fezzik died. Many of you were there with me when it happened and grieved along with me. No single blog post has had the response that I received from the post announcing his passing. For that I'm so grateful.
Today's post marks number 3500! Thirty five hundred times I've shared my thoughts, hopes, celebrations, creations and favorite scriptures. Those posts have been read by you over 967,000 times! (That alone almost leaves me speechless, but you know me...)
I've been playing around with a new idea for an addition to my show booths (and online shop), and thought these sweet cork key rings might be just the ticket. These have a key ring on top and small wooden beads, as well as acorn/oak leaf charms (Business on top. Party on the bottom. lol). Whether or not the acorn charm is this exact one in the future, all key rings I create will have at least one acorn charm on them. What do you think?
To celebrate my 3500th post, I'm going to hold a little giveaway for one of these two key rings. There will be two winners, and you don't have to live in the US to enter! This drawing is open to one and all, but you will be responsible for any VAT fees or other taxes upon receipt. I'll pay postage, though.
To enter, just leave a comment here (one per person, please), with a way to reach you in the event your name is drawn, any time between now and Sunday (December 9th). I'll pick two lucky winners on Sunday evening (11 pm) and announce the winners next Monday (December 10th). If you've been stopping by to regularly see what I'm up to, now you can leave a comment for a chance to win something! (I'm planning to add another surprise or two along with each key ring!)
Thanks for being there for all these years and posts. I really appreciate knowing you're on the other end of my daily messages. Good luck in the drawing!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Donna.
ReplyDeleteI have been blogging since 2007 (I tried for once a week) but since 2015 it has been much less due to work and other changes in my world. I love your work and your inventiveness. i turned my corks into a cork board, but think your idea is wonderful as well as inventive.

Donna, You should be doing more than blogging. You should be writing comedy scripts. Tuesdays with Tag is a sure hit with me. So funny! I always make it a point to 'tune in' to read what that little guy is up to and Boo also. It's like reading the comic page!

Congratulations! You never cease to amaze me with your creativity and accomplishments. You inspire me!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I love reading your posts.
ReplyDelete3500 posts is quite the dedication and I am very grateful for you and your daily posts. Congratulations Dear. Your cork key rings are fun and make excellent gifts. I made these for the guys last Christmas. The corks will also show off your cork fabrics...maybe a frame surrounded with corks and then the fabric samples showing what can be ordered. Happy blogging sweet friend...You are a wonderful inspiration! XO
ReplyDeleteDonna (and Tag and Bella), I have been reading your blog for years now. You inspire me. Tuesday with Tag is always a treat! Please enter me into your giveaway drawing. Thanks for being so dedicated to your readers.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Donna! What a milestone and I cannot tell you how blessed I've been to follow your journey. I am so glad we are in the same neck of the woods now. I didn't know you when Fezzik passed, but I know the hurt of that kind of loss. I am so sorry. I would love to have one of your keychains and, if I don't win one, I will buy one. I will probably still buy them for gifts. I love the cork! Blessings, my friend, Julie.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet Donna! I hope you had a happy birthday! It's fun to see you enjoying life, learning and making new things. Have a great birthday month!
ReplyDeleteAlways interested to see what you are up to, these make a great addition.
ReplyDeleteDonna your creativity is contagious! Your blog has inspired me so many times, always enjoy your photos, projects, and of course your two pups! Thank you so very much....for being YOU!
ReplyDeleteCute idea. I know just they key that needs to be on it too.
ReplyDeleteDonna,
ReplyDeleteI may not comment often (sorry), but please know that I read everyone of you posts & love them all. Please tell Tag that I love his posts too...! xo, Bren (& smooches from Bailey!)
Dear Donna,
ReplyDeleteI found you right after Fezzik died. It wasn't to long after that that I lost my dear Corgi Chesid and I felt a very close bond to you because of it. I have been a faithful reader ever since. Besides Corgis we had so much more in common. We even have husbands that play the drums! Happy 3500! Thank you for the chance to win one of your Cork Key Rings.
Congrats D! (3500?!?! WOW!)
ReplyDeleteStill an interesting read, after all these years! <3
Wow...didn't you just have your 2,000th? I do admit I've been a bit out of the regular blog loop. But, enjoy the fact I can always go to the archive and catch up! Always a smile maker. Congratulations xoxox
