Kaffe Fassett Dear Jane Quilt - unknown |
If I ever...
- Decide to make another sampler quilt ( I still haven't finished my Farmer's Wife quilt!)...
- Can bring myself to cutting up my Kaffe Fassett fabrics...
- Want to make a quilt using 5.5" x 6" squares...
...a Dear Jane Sampler Quilt in these fabrics is what I'll create.
I love this quilt. I love the micro quilting and two layers of batting that bring out the detail in every block. I love how clean and colorful the whole quilt is. I love how everything about it is simply perfection. (Did you just hear me hit the floor in a dead swoon? Yep) I shared it with my Brynwood friends on Facebook, but wanted to share it with you here in case you haven't seen it yet.
I completed my gift for Sunday and can't wait to show it to you on Monday (after it's given to the parents). Today, I'm getting back into my production sewing for the craft show. I'll see you tomorrow...hopefully with some new finished bags to share.
Have a great Friday!
That's a "WOW" quilt!

Awesome! I've sworn off sampler quilts. I have a small version of Farmer's Wife, a small version of Letters From the American Homefront, and a very small version of Dear Jane.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea and actually own that book - but I don't think I'll ever finish my Dear Jane or my Gypsy Wife quilts! Want my book?
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, a big surprise when I was flicking through Pinterest to see my Dear Jane quilt pop up. It took me about 3 years on and off to complete. My daughter is a Long Armer and she spent 70 hours plus working on this. A family heirloom for sure. I wanted to give it a fresh modern look and the Kaffe fabrics were perfect for what I was looking for. We live in New Zealand. Thank you for the lovely comments.
