Tuesdays With Tag - Bella's Guest Post...

Liljegren's (3 year old) Suncoast Bella

 Hello!

I bet you're surprised to see me today!
Tag is letting me tell you about my "forgotten" Birthday.

Don't feel too sorry for me, because Mom and Dad treat me like a princess every day.
It just seems that my third Birthday kind of sneaked right up on all of us this year.
(Actually, I don't really know exactly when my Birthday is, so it's really okay.)

Bella's Birthday Launcher

This year, I got the best present so far!

When I'm at Uncle Mike's, his assistant, Rene' helps put out my marks so that I have really long retrieves. Here at the farm, my marks are only as far away as Mom or Dad can throw them (which isn't nearly as far).

So, this year, they got me a launcher! Just so you know, it has a grip that looks like a gun, but it's really not (mostly). It does have a teeny, tiny charge called an acorn shell that helps to propel the canvas "dummy" great distances. That way I can run farther than just a thrown dummy.

This Is NOT A Gun

They bought the starter kit with the launcher and one dummy, and then they got three more dummies for me to retrieve! The white ones will show up better in the grass, and the pink ones (I'm told they're pink, but I'm really color blind like all dogs) are best to use in light cover (or in the snow).

We can't wait to use them! It's gonna be so much fun, and I'm going to get some really long retrieves to burn off some of this excess energy...and to help keep my girlish figure.

The Birthday Girl
Mom also got me some really wonderful dog treats, and she made some sweet potato chips, too, that I've been sharing with Tag. He'd eat them all if we gave him half a chance.
I'm not wearing a Birthday hat or scarf or anything because Dad doesn't really like it when Mom dresses me up. He says I'm much too pretty to make look silly. Tag, of course, would have me wearing a tutu and ballet slippers (or something equally yukky). I'm sure you all understand. I just stayed au naturel for my celebration. Maybe next year. Maybe not.

Thanks for visiting us again this week. Tag will be back next week, with his usual irreverent wit.

Until next time...
Cuddles and Snuffles,
Miss Bella

  1. Happy Belated Birthday Miss Bella. You look marvelous for three. I can almost see you running to retrieve those “Launched” Dummies. I like the pink ones best...but not the snow they would show up in. Your day sounds like it morphed into a week with treats and special honors. And how nice of Tag to let you guest host today. Enjoy your week Miss Bella...I really like your Photo and pose. <3

  4. Happy Birthday, Miss Bella, You remind me a great deal of a black lab that we had when I was growing up. You do need to run off some of your energy. Have fun with your birthday present. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend Shirley
