Chore Day...

Tag really needed to be groomed yesterday. He was such a fuzzy mess and it's that time of year when he sheds like crazy. On top of that, he was hairing up the house like nobody's business.

If your bathtub is overflowing with water, the first thing you should do is turn off the water, right? So, before I cleaned the house, it seemed logical that I should groom my Corgi first.

I spent about an hour on the boy (he looks fabulous now, by the way), and then I tackled the house I've been neglecting while I fell ill. Both the beast and the house are sparkling now!
In case you're wondering about the photographs I chose for today's post...I dream that some day I'll have a studio large enough to allow me to have a piece of furniture covered in a vintage (or made-by-me) quilt.

I think about such things when I clean house. Something this girly would never work in our main living spaces, but it would be totally, perfectly, wonderfully appropriate for my dream studio.

House is cleaned, so today, I'll be playing in the studio again. I'm going to try to make a dent in those UFOs. I'll let you know how it goes...while I dream of quilted furniture.

  1. I love the pictures you shared of the furniture. It would be fun to have pieces like that in a studio.

  2. I am too cowardly to do Quinn's nails, so she goes to the spa. Love that furniture, too. I am thinking of tackling a tuffet or pouf with some patchwork.

  3. Ahh the joys of cleaning I know all too well with this cement mortar dust in every nook and cranny and crack. Tag must be feeling nicely spoiled once again. Quilted furniture...Yes Please...just one fabulous piece all for me. Enjoy feeling better my friend.

  4. Am so pleased you are feeling well enough now to tackle all those chores and the Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt on the chair is my favourite quilt pattern along with the Dresden Plate. I will be thinking of little Tag on Monday during his procedure for removal of his tooth!
