Listed...

The first items in my "For The Love of a Corgi" collection have dropped in my Etsy shop. I'll be making more of these, as well as a selection of limited edition new items. They'll be located in my shop in the section of the same name.

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these items will be donated in Tag's name to CorgiAid, as I mentioned yesterday. This is my way of honoring my boy.

I intend to make some of the Corgi wallets and totes, as well as a very limited quantity of Corgi goldwork brooches that I'm currently designing. The set shown above features a tri-colored dog, but the ones I'm doing will be colored like Taggart, unless special ordered. I'll have wallets available separately, too.

If you're interested in any of the items shown here, you may contact me for pricing and I'll custom make your pieces ahead of the rest I'll be making. I thought I'd share this with my readers first before posting to Instagram and Facebook.

Corgi On Tote Set Finished...

Brynwood Needleworks - Custom "Corgi On" Set

I finished my last custom order, for this season, late yesterday. This tote is my own design, and the wallet is my Bryn style. It's already packaged, and will go out with today's post.

Today, I'm baking cookies for the Cookie Exchange at my niece's tomorrow. (I know. Nothing like last minute.) I'm going to keep it simple this year. I'll show you photos of the cookies on Monday.

Next week is time to make Grammie's Jammies. I bought beautiful organic cotton flannel from my favorite online source for this year's sets. I think they'll be warm and lovely for our grandkids.

Off to make cookies. I need six dozen for the exchange. No time to waste. I can get started and have my morning coffee. Have a great day!

Almost Caught Up...

Brynwood Needleworks - Embroideries For Corgi On Wallet and Tote Set

This is part of the last project I have to complete before I can work on Christmas gifts. I'm making a matching set of a Bryn wallet, and my own tote design. (I've called them the "Corgi On" Wallet and Tote Set. The embroideries are complete, so now I'll cut out all the components, and sit down to assemble them.

Brynwood Needleworks - Doxie Bella Tote

I did complete the Doxie Bella Tote, and it's on its way to a new home (and a matching Bryn wallet already there) today.

Well...I'm off to the studio, even though I really (already) need a nap. I'll be back tomorrow to show you what I've managed to get done.

"Corgi On" Winging To Germany...

Corgi Tote Detail

Have I told you that this tote is my own design? Yup. You should see my notes. There aren't templates...just a few handwritten notes with measurements. The rest I do on the fly. I must have it down now because I always get consistent results. (I know. I sound surprised, don't I? lol)

Brynwood Needleworks' Corgi On Tote

This one is shipping to Germany today! One of my corgi friends on Facebook contacted me because she wanted one, and I was happy to oblige. I've added her monogram inside, too.

My next commission is for a Bryn Wallet in burgundy cork. It'll be under my needle today. Jane's going to be a busy girl! Don't you think it's a great way to spend a sub-zero day?

Dang!...

Stitching Out Corgi Embroidery

I was stitching out the embroidery for my next commission - a corgi tote -  and decided that I'd make another right away for one of my crossbody wallets (for stock). This one stitched out like a dream, but I think I waste time switching the threads between colors, so I thought I'd try something different (after the first one was done).

Destiny With Off-Machine Thread Holder

I have a wooden thread stand that holds a total of fourteen threads, so I instead of setting up one thread at a time, I only have to pull the thread from there to the machine. It would go faster that way. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Oops! Bobbin Thread Showing In Front

I'm glad you asked. Something happened to the tension in my stitches. This is the only thing that changed, so I guess I'll have to go back to the "old" way. sigh Yes. I threw this one out. I was twenty three minutes into a thirty five minute design...and all that thread...now in the trash. Back to the drawing board (so to speak).

I Got One Done

As least one is finished. I'll give it another go today. I have to make this work because I have another commission where the design has to be stitched directly onto a finished item. I can't have this glitch happening on that!

I'll be troubleshooting this morning until Destiny can do her thing without errors. Wish me luck, please. I have projects that need finishing.

Ready To Ship...

Brynwood Needleworks - Corgi On Tote and Wallet Set

I had a productive weekend.
I'll be shipping off this "Corgi On Tote and Wallet Set" to my client today.

This tote is my own design. It has a long, open pocket and a zippered pocket on the outside. Inside, I've created the same pocket configuration, and added a D-ring and a long tab with a clasp at the end to hold keys. The complete set includes the tote and a wallet; wallet shoulder and wrist straps; and a key fob.

This is the last set I'll create in 2017. I have one more commission to do, and then I'll be making Christmas gifts. I do have a listing for a set like this in my online shop, but I won't make it until after December 30th. Remember, I'm putting my shop on vacation on December 18th, so if you'd like to order a set for yourself (and be first on my list in the new year), you'll want to order before that date.

Today, I'm working with red cork. I'll be making a Grab & Go Clutch, with a matching Half Pint Case and Needle Case. When I'm finished with that set, I have a Wool Acorn Ornament to make for a party I'm attending tomorrow. We're having an ornament exchange, so I decided to make one of my own design (you can find the pattern in my "Free Patterns and Tutorials" link at the top of my blog in the menu bar).

It's going to be a busy day, so I'd better get started!
