My Guardians...

Brynwood Needleworks - My Guardians

How can I not heal fully when I have these two watching over me? They're never far away while I'm sleeping, reading or resting. Between these two and Handsome (Carly stays with him downstairs), I've got everything I need to get better.

I'm doing quite well, actually. Minimal discomfort, great meds when needed, and I'm able to be up for longer than I expected.

Doctor's orders are no driving for a week, no lifting more than ten pounds for two weeks, regular meals, lots of rest and water, take meds as needed, and see her in two weeks for a follow-up appointment. Being the good patient I am, I'll follow all her directions so I can get a good report when I see her. Everything else can wait.

I am hoping to do a little needlework on that center block for A Penny Gathering over the weekend. I should be able to handle a needle and thread (and a little needle dancing) later today. It's certainly not heavy lifting. I'll certainly have guardians to keep me company, and that's a really good thing.

  5. My Dr. always says "rest is best" I have never forgotten that. He says you heal so much with rest, everything shuts down and mends and relaxes. Has helped me through rough times, too May those beautiful eyes of your furry friends help you to rest. Our fur babies have known rest is best for ages upon ages. We could learn alot from them.

    1. Dear Judi:
Your doctor is wise, for sure. I'm definitely taking it easy, and concentrating on healing. I really want this to be the last surgery for this issue. The dogs have been close at hand since I got back home, watching over me. Between them and Handsome, I can't help by heal!.
Thanks so much for your note!

    1. So wonderful to hear from you, dear Jillayne. This all began with a botched surgery nearly a year ago (different doctor). It's so upsetting because it didn't have to be this way. It's been a long, frustrating year, but we're all hopeful this worked this time. I'll know more for sure in the coming weeks. Fingers crossed and continued prayers. You're right, though. I'm glad this surgery is over!
      So glad you popped in!

    1. Dearest Sherry:
I agree! I'm going to heal really well, and impress my latest doctor. Handsome tells me that my newest scars look really good, and that there isn't even any redness! That's awesome news. I'm hopeful that we won't have another surgery for this issue. It's been a lonnnnng year!
      Big hugs,
      xoxo
