Brynwood Needleworks - BW "Our House" Sampler Detail |
Years ago, I designed a pair of samplers - one main, larger sampler, and a coordinating smaller one - which never went to print. I came across the original stitched pieces I created yesterday.
Do you like the detail of this one? I'm thinking about producing the charts in pdf format, and making them available for sale. Are you a needleworker? Do you like counted thread designs...specifically samplers? If so, I'd love your feedback.
I love samplers although I've never made one. Right now it's out of the question to work that small because I'm working on cataracts and until those are fixed I have to work on things I can see.
ReplyDeleteDear MM:
DeleteHandsome had such bad cataracts, but had surgery for them last winter. He said the improvement was huge, and immediate! He had to use drops in his eyes for a while, but was sooooo glad he had it done. He's like my human binoculars now! He can see stuff like a superhero now. We suggest you go and get the procedure done. You'll be so glad you did...and then you can get back to doing what you love.
Keep me posted, sweetie!

Counted work is my main craft! I love the pictures of your sampler and would love to see it in full!
ReplyDeleteHi, Terri!
DeleteI promise to post the entire sampler next week. Perhaps while I'm recuperating, I can put the chart together so I can list it up as a pdf file online. Thanks for asking!

Quite a while ago I noticed a sampler pictured in your home. The sentiment was something about a wife behaving for her husband. Do you recall the one I am referencing? If it is your design I would love to purchase the pattern
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteI love that sampler, Roxie! I wish it were my design, but alas, it's the creation of one of my favorite designers...Kingsland. It's called "The Learned Wife". I changed the wording slightly, as I speak Spanish, not mentioned on the sampler. Here's a link to purchase it on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Learned-Wife-Sampler-by-Kingsland-/303630094715
Thanks for noticing (and leaving a note about it)!

Correction: Spanish was in the sampler. Italian is the language I don't speak, so I changed that one to "English". Here's the original post, too, in case you'd like to see it again. (wink) https://brynwoodneedleworks.blogspot.com/search?q=Kingsland
