Asking For Prayers...

  My sincere apologies.
For the first time in five years, I completely forgot about writing a blog post.
I regret that this will not be one of my usual "creative or joyful" posts.

I found out (along with her and her family) on Tuesday, that a dear friend is dying
from cancer. She was feeling weak over the weekend and went to the hospital
for support. She returned home on Tuesday with Hospice called in to help her.
The doctor told her family that she may only have 1 - 3 weeks left with them.

I was in shock. When we left on vacation, she was smiling, happy and vibrant.
I knew she was seeing her doctor, and then had a few tests, but I had no idea
things were serious. How could things have changed so drastically...so quickly?

Last night, I received a message asking me to go to her today. I'm told that
she is quickly deteriorating. God is calling her to come back home to Him.

Please pray for my friend and her family.
They've had almost no time to adjust to this terrible news.
They will all need our support and love in the coming days.
Thank you and God Bless.

  11. I am so sorry to read this. A tough time lies ahead over the coming weeks. I have been in this position when my Dad was diagnosed and at that time it was family but also close friends that helped me and my family to deal with what was happening and afterwards.
Be strong for your friend Donna, and I am thinking of you all.
Sending hugs from me to you.

  14. Oh Donna, this is so sad. I had a friend who had been to the Dr many times only to be told everything was all right. She became very ill and died in three days. Praying God's mercies on your friend, her family and you.

  15. This has happened to a couple of people around here too.
It's so sad anytime there is a death in the family.
I'll be praying for her family and for you.

  16. Dear Donna,
You ask and it is done.

I would like to say something that Rich Mullins always wondered about and I guess I do to. He used to say he couldn't understand the modern feeling about death. The first centuries of Christians all greeted it joyfully as they were going HOME.
Yes it is a shock, but I have to feel that Abba has greatly blessed her as it is her time to go. Think of the people who die in accidents and never get to say goodbye....She could have had some long drawn out painful incurable disease, where she would have lingered on in pain. You wouldn't have wanted that. Abba by His grace has given her a short while to get "her house in order". Then Donna she is going to be IN HIS ARMS. I truly feel God has put His Hand upon her head, and keep your eye on where she will be in a couple of weeks..
seeing her Savior face to face. How Awesome is that!

You can count on my prayers for you and her family who will be left here for awhile and the grief you will have missing her. Also that she can see what is to come as I wrote it and greet it with joy. And my dear one you must remember we are ALL incurable.
    I Love You,
    TerriSue
