Brynwood Needleworks - Turtle Embroidery Progress |
When I'm not homekeeping, I'm spending blissful hours with needle and thread. I'm making progress on my turtle embroidery, but not as swiftly as I did on the first half. It's alright. After all, it's not a race, right?
I'll keep stitching, and I'll share this one again once I've completed the embroidery. Then, you can help me with ideas of how I might finish it. What are you doing today?
It's looking great.
ReplyDeleteNo rush, just enjoy your time with it.
Today I am cleaning the oven. LOL
Marilyn
Thanks, Marilyn. I still tire easily, so I'm enjoying the slow stitching.
DeleteCleaning the oven? It's a great way to stay warm! It was sooo cold today!

You're right - stitching should never be a race to the finish, otherwise it takes the joy out of it.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question as to what I'm doing - today I'll be putting the outside border on my vintage linen quilt project and then it's on to figuring out how to cobble together something for the backing. I refuse to buy anything so it's going to be a hodge podge methinks.
Hi MA:
DeleteI'm intrigued by your quilt project! Do tell me what you decide to do on the back. I'd love to know. Enjoy following your creative muse!

The back has ended up being a hunk of pink fabric I bought years ago that has ruffles and lace stripes throughout. Could never find a use for it prior to now. It was too small so I have added strips of white eyelet to bring it up to size. I'll put a picture on my blog on Monday if you want to see it.
DeleteOh my gosh - I love the expression "homekeeping"! That sounds so much nicer than housekeeping. and isn't making a home what it's all about??
