Making Popcorn Again...

My Crocheted Popcorn

Remember when I started this last winter? Of course, I didn't make more over the summer (lol), but I'm enjoying making more in the evenings now.

If you're interested in creating your own crocheted popcorn garlands, you can go back and read my previous posts HERE, and HERE. The first post includes a link to a YouTube video (in case you're a visual learner).

Don't Add Butter!

Doesn't it look like real popcorn? I could imagine sitting in the evening with a popcorn scented candle burning while you crochet. (No. I don't have one. lol) Oh! If you're loving my crochet hook, it's from Furls Crochet HERE. They have gorgeous hooks, and they feel great in your hand.

If you like to have your own typed pattern, here's the file. Just click on it to make it larger, and you can save it from this post, too. Once saved, you can print it out on your computer for a hard copy. Have fun!

    1. Hi Marilyn:
Hope you find them. I put on quite the search last year, wanting the prepainted ones. Let me know if you do, and I can share the source with others.

  2. Just the other day I came across the ONE popcorn piece I had made after your initial garland posting. I wondered if yours had been completed.

    1. Hi Bonnie:
I'm still working on them, but I have one nice, long section done already. I'll keep going and see how much more I can make. wink

  3. Mine is finished (or at least I'm saying it is because I ran out of beads...used a pack of 100) and hanging on our bakers rack and looking quite festive. I might get carried away and if I can find more beads I might make it longer and use it on the tree next year.

  4. Hi MA:
I think that's wonderful.I think I'm going to have to put on a good hunt for a source that I can share. 15 mm beads are the perfect size, but I know you can find 8mm ones. (I have some, but wanted bigger.) I'll keep you posted.

    1. I used the 15 mm and found them on Amazon but that was awhile ago so I don't know if they still have them. I have tons of the yarn left so I might make more garland because I really would like to put it on our tree.
