  Hi, Everybody!
 

Well, I bet you're wonderin' just how I managed to get myself in the doghouse this week. I mean, you know what a fine citizen I am. In my defense, Mom was still in Minnesota when I wrote my last post, and she plum forgot to remind me about a very important event at the farmhouse.

  Carly turned ONE last TUESDAY!

I've been givin' her a lot of free press lately, so I'm not gonna go all smoochy, kiss-up Corgi on you. But, I really want to tell her that Boo and I (Mom & Dad, too) are really glad she was whelped, and that we got to keep her.

You can see intelligence in her eyes, and she's got a heart as big as the loveseat she's sittin' on in this picture. She's playful (sometimes to a fault), and listens when she's given a command (except from me).

 

Brynwood Needleworks - Dogs (& Guys) Love Trucks

Mom got home on Tuesday, so we all hopped in the truck and went to Gilles' Drive-in for dinner. Mom gave each of us a french fry to celebrate Carlita's "extended" Birthday, and we were really glad she was back home from her trip.

 

Mom must have sung "Happy Birthday To You" at least ten times. I think I heard Carly mumble, "Not again, please." at one point, but Mom wasn't to be deterred. At least she didn't dress The Kid up in a stoopid party hat and make her do a trick for the camera. Thank heaven for small miracles!

 

So, I'd like to apologize to the little spaz dog for forgettin' her big day. I'll find a way to make it up to her, but for now...

 

   HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARLITA PUPPITA MAMACITA!!!
