Feeling Better By The Day...

I felt well enough to pull out my Sweet Stitches "Make Merry" kit.
It features the Jolly Ol' Elf himself, so I would like to finish it while
Christmas is still in the air. I figure I have until Sunday to get him done.
After Sunday, I think I'll need to look forward to 2014, like the
rest of you. I'd much rather be stitching than out in the stores.
I like the idea of getting back to my regular routines, too...
just in time for the new year!

How are you spending your time between now and New Years Day?

  1. I am only a quilting related shopper. I do not like most other kinds of shopping, including grocery, though that is a must my dear husband reminds me.
For my quilting friends I stitch or sew something for Christmas gifts. For my non quilting friends I bake goodies.

This year has been hard for myself and quite a few of my quilting friends. Illness, deaths, loss of jobs, and of course money issues. I have had a hard time being upbeat. I looked at our situation and realized that it could be horribly worse, and it is not.
At that point I felt a turn around in my feelings. It was then that I started my Christmas gift projects.
This year I am extra pleased that I made gifts. The recipients said that the personal gifts lifted their spirits.
I feel lucky that I have such good friends.

Starting January first I plan to start looking for special gift ideas for my dear quilting friends.

I hope you are feeling better.

Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year to you...K

  4. Love this project you are working on. Can't wait to see more of it done. Sorry to hear that you have not been well. I hope you get better with each day.

We aren't doing anything crazy for New Years. Just patiently waiting for some colder weather to come to Miami. I hope it comes soon.

    Happy New Years. :)
