Lucky Clover Brooch Class Piece In Progress |
I would have gotten further along had I not done the outline (the first time) in the wrong metal. sheesh I removed it, and then restitched in the correct purl, so I'll contact Clara today and purchase more of the fiber I ruined. I'll need it for next week's class. facepalm
Even so, I got back on track and now I'll progress to the next steps today. In spite of my error, I'm really enjoying this. More tomorrow.
It's so pretty!

Oh dear, that's too bad to have to re-stitch! I hope at least you were able to save the 'oopsie' thread for another project.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay, MA. I learned a lot about the difference in the fibers by making the mistake. I wish I could have saved the fiber, alas I attached it with teeny tiny stitches, so removing it ruined it. Oh, well. Lesson learned, and that's a good thing in the end. (although it didn't feel that way as I was frogging all my hard work.)

Frustrating however you will never make that error again. This is looking gorgeous. Gold really does bring this gorgeous green clover to life.
ReplyDeleteThat's the truth, Sherry! Thank you so much. I agree. Goldwork is a really beautiful technique.
