Wooly One Complete...

I put the finishing touches on Block One of
the Wooly Critter Sampler yesterday morning.
I used overdyed wools for the little chickadee and flowers...
and Sulky #12 threads for the buttonhole stitching all around them.
Block One completed in the first week of January.
Not bad, so far. We'll see if I can keep up.

I'm heading to Coffee Club with the girls this morning, so I'll be adding
my block to the design wall with the rest of this month's completed blocks.

Handsome is actually playing percussion up in Gibsonton today...
for a circus! He does this every year and really enjoys it.

He always says the same thing about it when he gets home, though.
If anyone is interested in this little snippet of knowledge,
(Who knows? You may be asked this on Jeopardy or something.)
Camels REALLY stink!

When Tag and I get back home from Harbour Heights today,
I'll head back to the studio to continue work on my tablet cases.
Hope you all have a restful and creative weekend.

  1. Lovely wooly block, Donna! Your stitching is beautiful! Lovin' your woolens. As a former rug hooker, I have a LOT of wool here that I need to do something with. I always had fun dyeing wool...seeing the gorgeous mottled woolens that came out of the dye pot. One day I will do something with them.

  3. Hi Donna...It's been way too long since my last visit here at your beautiful blog. I spent a bit of time looking back through your posts and like always I'm just amazed at your stitching talents and ability to create just about anything...perfectly...and in record speed! One gorgeous project after another!!! Happy Birthday to your Handsome. I loved how you put the two photos of him together in that post. Happy Birthday to you as well, and Happy Anniversary as also. I got married in December too!...I'm very sorry about your dear uncle's passing. He had such pretty blue eyes. Tag and all of his adventures (even in raccoon poo!) always give me the giggles, oh, and I love how your backyard arbor turned out! Wishing you only the very best in 2014 sweet friend, and that you continue to awe and inspire us with your wonderful talent! Sending love and a big hug. xoxo Paulette
