Tuesdays With Tag - Don't Say That Word Again...

Tag trying to sleep in his Kong™ collar.
Is this not the most pathetic picture of me ever?!!! Yeah. It's me. Tag. I had a rough weekend around here. Now I know what "nootered" means, and I don't think I want to do that again! It's not funny! I really don't even want to talk about it, you know?

Mom made me wear this stupid collar for a couple of days. I don't know what the big deal was. I felt a little funny back there and just wanted to check it out. Apparently, checking back there after surgery is FROWNED UPON IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Sheesh!

So, look how hard it was to get a good rest in this stupid, puffy collar. The best I could do was use it like a pillow and just give in to it.

Ahhhh. Much better!
I made a deal with Mom. I promised to leave my surgery site alone and she wouldn't make me wear the blue pillow. It was a win/win as far as I could see!

I really am feeling better now. Thank you to everyone who said prayers and sent happy thoughts my way. I'm glad you all helped Mom out while I was a bit under the weather. You really saw her through my adventure. Oh, and I'm really happy my voice didn't get higher. (Mom said that happens sometimes...but not to me!) I still have my "Big Boy" bark! Woof!

Next week I'll be back to my usual silliness. I might even do a "pin-up" photo of you to show you my new, streamlined look! (Not!) Anyway, 'til then...

"More Waggin' and Less Barkin'!"

  11. So cute. But how did you get Tag to agree to leave his surgery site alone? When Bailey had his that type of collar wouldn't work and we had to use the dreaded cone. He hated it - especially when he dashed through the snow with it on and almost did a cartwheel when the snow caught the bottom of it.

I'm glad that Tag is feeling better.

  12. Oh Tag I know just how you feel. By next week we should both be feeling super and full of vim and vigor (I don't know what that is either but I have heard it all my life). Enjoy your rest my dear...

  13. Dearest Tag, you are coming along nicely in your recovery. I know, I know! Its sooo hard being a dog sometimes when being denied essential activities. Smelling and inspecting is top priority in doggy land but keep that cute little noise straight ahead and all will be well.
    Take very good care.
    Always, Queenie
