I pulled out a few of my fabric collections for an idea I'm working on. I love how cheerful this assortment is.
Three different assortments in this shot. All of them sweet and happy. Girly pinks, butterflies and flowers. I know these are going to work! (Don't worry...I'm not going to put them all together in the same piece!)
Primary colors. Dick and Jane fabric. Alphabets with red and white checks. These will work, too. I can't wait to get started! Alas, it will have to wait just a little bit.
Today is Tag's surgery day. We'll be at the clinic by 8:30 and I'm going to spend all day waiting until I can bring him back home with me. I'll be happy when it's all over and he's back home recuperating.
I bought him a special Kong collar™ today at Pet Supermarket. It's an inflatable "c" shaped collar that closes with velcro. It works like a cone, but doesn't protrude so that he runs into things or can't get a drink of water while wearing it. It'll keep him from licking his tender parts, but will almost be like a little pillow when he wants to lie down. I'll take a picture of him wearing it so you can see what it looks like.
I'm taking along my laptop and a little paperwork to help the time pass faster. Did I tell you I
was elected the recording secretary for the Disconnected Piecers Quilt
Guild? Yup! I'll be transcribing my handwritten minutes from our board meeting last week. A good way to fill the time while I wait for my boy to come home with me.
Think good thoughts. We'll be back tomorrow!
UPDATE: Tag came through his surgery with flying colors! Here's a picture of him post-op. He already wants to go home...and have breakfast! Thanks for all your prayers. I think the tension headache I've had for the past three days will finally go away now.
Dearest Donna and Tag: Prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. I will be thinking of you both today. Healing Hugs and Smooches...
ReplyDeleteGood luck Tag! It will soon be over & I know that you will be spoilt rotten when you come home from the vet's ;0)
ReplyDeleteSending lots and lots and lots of good thoughts. We'll be waiting right here...Wags, Howie and Zack and Mom too.
ReplyDeleteDonna,
ReplyDeleteThinking of you both today!
hugs,
Carol
Sending prayers. Before you know it this will be a distant memory. Hang in there. :)
ReplyDelete"Lilly"and I send Tag our love ,and we both think he is a brave boy.
ReplyDeleteLoveall those fabric colours,we have to search for pretty fabric in the UK,and when we do find it ,it costs a fortune.(will have to move to USA.)
Speedy recovery Tag.xxxx
I hope he has a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes
Aww, big hugs and lots of kisses to Taggie. xoxox, Tina
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear that everthing went well. He'll forgive you soon enough.
ReplyDeleteYay! and Hooray!! So glad Tag came through the surgery without a hitch. He looks great. What a wonderful doggy mama you are for getting him a special collar instead of dreaded cone of shame. Those cones are no fun for the dog and can do great damage to the shins of an owner's legs.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Always, Queenie
So glad Tag made it through his surgery with flying colors!! I said prayers for him (and you). I love that inflatable collar.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of the fabrics, but the last picture is the one that touched my heart. So, nice they came up with something better than that horrible cone - he looks much more comfy. Around his head anyway, I hope he's not sore and that he heals up quickly!
ReplyDeleteLove those fabrics! Can't wait to see what you're up too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief for you. I'm so glad that Tag is fit and well after his op.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, that tension headache will vanish now....
Donna, hugs to you and Tag. So glad to hear you are both home resting. Marty
