Immaculate Heart II...

I completed the second Immaculate Heart Brooch yesterday. This one looks completely different in this colorway, and I really like it. My client has seen it and chose the style sword from the assortment I offered. He loves it, too.

I'm having so much fun getting back to my needlework, and am already thinking about what the next project will be. I haven't settled on it yet, but you'll be the first to know once I've made my decision.

I'm kind of enjoying taking my time these days without deadlines.  I'm taking care of the critters, getting the house cleaned (doing a little early spring cleaning), and putting things back in order before Handsome comes back home the first part of May. Life is good.

  2. It's beautiful!
Hoping your hand is better to do what you love.
I like to Spring clean, it makes everything feel new & fresh!
I am doing some of that too.

    1. Thank you, Marilyn. My hand is still sore, and starting next week I'll be doing PT (we call it "Pain & Torture") at the clinic to help whatever is wrong. I'm just stitching right through it, and taking ibuprofen to help. Thanks for your concern. I like the way the place sparkles, too, even with four critters in the house right now. While I love Claudette and Crystal, I'm looking forward to the girls getting barn time very soon. Plus Carly will be home soon, and it would be a ruddy circus with them inside! Have a great day!

  3. Well done! I'm sure your client will be more than happy with it.
Spring cleaning isn't something I've ever done (I know - horrors!) but January seems to be the month for that. My mother always believed that cleaning in January meant a fresh start to the year so I guess I've fallen into that habit.

    1. Hi MA:
Thanks, dear. I like the idea of a fresh start in January, but I was up to my ears in sewing for the show. Now I'm faced with a beloved husband coming home in a month and I want to have everything spiffed up for his arrival. Your mom was definitely onto a good plan, though.
      Happy Weekend Eve,
      xoxo

    1. Hi Sherry:
I agree. Originally I think he wanted the heart to be black. Not having black metallic kid or faux leather on hand, I easily convinced him of this combo. He likes how it turned out, so I'm happy, too. I'll definitely do more silver pieces, but will switch up the colors. I agree. Blessed, indeed, my friend.

  5. Another stunning piece. The sword is perfect for that colorway.
Life is great without deadlines and much more enjoyable at our own pace.

    1. Hi Shirley:
I have an assortment of swords now, and I told him this is the one I would have picked for his piece, too. You're right. No deadlines is definitely nice. A girl could get used to it!
