These two adorable little girls caught my attention on a recent rainy day and I just had to share them with you. (Their dad told me it was alright to take their pictures.)
Their rain ponchos were obviously way too big on them, but they reminded me of our own granddaughters who are about the same age. Do you know how hard it is to take a good photograph in the rain when you're smiling from ear to ear? It's not easy, I tell ya!
The weather wasn't going to dampen their spirits...something I'll try to remember as I go about my days in less than sunny weather.
Donna, it is definitely sunny here. No rain in sight! You have no idea how this post made me smile. What delightful images. I'm so glad you shared these. Too cute for words. ~ sarah
ReplyDeleteWell that brought a smile to my face. Two little girls bringing their own version of sunshine. xx
ReplyDeleteDelightful photos, Donna. How kind of their father to let you share these photos.
ReplyDeleteDonna, I adore these photos! Lovely cheery start to my day!

This post and these girls are so adorable. I love how children are not phased by a little rain and instead embrace it. Remember being little and wanting to play outside in the rain and always step in every puddle? Why don't we still do this? Well sometimes I still do...
ReplyDeleteSo thankful you finally got some rain. Happy Saturday Dear...
Good Morning, Donna,
ReplyDeleteYour photos just make me happy! Have a wonderful weekend. ~Natalie
How cute is that?! Twyla
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I want to play with them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a heart lifting post!! Watching children at play always brings a smile to my face. O, heck, little kids usually do.

Rain doesn't dampen children's spirits. Nothing much does!

Donna, what cutie pies those little girls are!! Children always seem to love the rain and to play in it!! How cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet post! I love that their ponchos are too big - somehow it makes what they are enjoying seem that much more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI hope I always remember the joy in a rainy day...
What's that saying? "Life isn't about running from the storms, it's about learning to dance in the rain." Kiddo's always seem to know what adults seem to forget.
ReplyDeleteYeah...I'm never gonna grow up! hee,hee,hee. ;)
xx, shell
They are just adorable! Looks like they were dancing in the rain - good for them! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are SO SWEET Donna! I love this post! I had troubles comment over the last week BUT I'm happy to report things are working now!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs to you,
Donna
Love your photos and the poem.

Donna, I was smiling the entire time I was reading your post! These two were obviously having a wonderful time in the rain. It's raining here again today, but I am not complaining. My irrigation system has been on the fritz with a slow leak and all that $ has gone down the drain- literally. So now that it's raining, that's less watering for me to do. I'm hoping it will make up for all the water that ran while the pipes were leaking! LOL
