One Hundred Wishes...

I got a lovely package in the mail today. I had placed an order with a beautiful online shop called One Hundred Wishes. Just blame Andrea. She is the proprietress of One Hundred Wishes (isn't that a perfect name?), and author of the lovely blog, Everyday Beauty.

I was reading her blog recently and saw some beautiful French thread cards that she was offering in her shop. I loved them the minute I saw them. You do remember that I'm a gadget hound, right? Yup. I had to have them. They're meant to have threads wound on them. A much prettier alternative to the little white cards you can purchase to store flosses, and less expensive than the antique shell, horn or Mother of Pearl version of a thread holder.

And, as long as I was there...a little dupioni silk ribbonry, a little velvet ribbon love and the Art Nouveau Portrait thread cards. Ahhhhhhh. I felt so much better.

I'd seen some of Andrea's lovely velvet ribbon bookmarks, embellished with vintage baubles, in one of the Somerset publications. When I went to her blog site, I saw that she had also made and sold some of hers. They're so beautiful...and because they're made with vintage embellishments, each one is unique. I'd like to try to make these. They're elegant, perfect for gifts, and simple in their construction.

Next visit to One Hundred Wishes, I'm going to have to order some of her marshmallow wands, too. (What can I say? They're pretty, I'm intrigued and I fear it's still too hot in Florida for me to take a chance ordering them now.) Take some time and visit Andrea's sites, and say "hi" from me while you're there.

  1. Donna, The things you bought are beautiful. I will go there one day and look.

Thanks for the comments on my blog while we were lost and wet. After we bought a GPS, things were great and we had a great time.

I am playing catch up and not sure I will make all my blogs.

    Happy Saturday.
