Sale Day...

Handsome and I drove to Larsen today to set up my tables for the Purge & Splurge Sale at Primitive Gatherings. Everything went smoothly, and all I had to do was finish the elastic installation on the new sleeves I put on the "Princess Bride" muslin I'm hoping to sell.

We were there a total of two hours, and of course I had to stroll through The Gathering House to see what everyone else is selling! I'm going to need to put my blinders on today so I don't bring home more than I brought!

So if you look back at the first photograph and follow a row all the way to the back windows, you'll find my booth right next to the back door. It's a great location with lots of light (and space). I'm hoping that there's a traffic bottleneck right in front of my booth as anxious buyers wait to purchase what I'm selling. hee hee I made a few more signs to more easily identify my offerings and pricing, and I'll add those as soon as I get there.

You know I write my posts before midnight each evening, so by the time most of you read this, I'll be at manning my space. I'm leaving home around 6:45 am to be there by 8. The show doesn't open until 9, but there are ladies staying on premises now, and they'll likely get up early to shop before the rush. I want to be ready.

If you're in Wisconsin and are looking for something to do, you might want to join us! The address is Primitive Gatherings • 8567 South Loop Rd • Larsen, WI 54947. I'll be there from 9 (8)am until 4 pm.

Wish me luck! I really don't want to bring anything home, so I'll be wheeling and dealing on the fly! I'll let you know how I did on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Play Day Today...

I'm meeting up with the Sewcial Sisters at Primitive Gatherings Retreat House for a play day today. I'm taking this kit with me to set up and start stitching. Once I complete the baby kimono (getting close!), I might be able to finish for Thanksgiving. I have a few other things I'd like to work on, too, so we'll see.

Tag will be here tomorrow, and I'll be back on Wednesday with more photos to share. See you then!

Sewcial Sisters - July Edition...

I had a great day on Monday with the Sewcial Sisters. I worked on my Everlasting (aptly named, don't you think?) quilt borders, and visited with the ladies. I only took one picture of a quilt (this one) because I really loved the colors.

After we spent the day together, I drove another half hour from Primitive Gatherings to have dinner with my brother. We sat at a nice bar and grill right on the water and got caught up. I dropped him back at home and then turned for the farmhouse before it got dark. He lives in a high traffic area for deer (I saw them near the road on three different spot just driving him home!), so I wanted to get back to the main highway before they really got moving in the dark. I accomplished my goal and was home and hour and a half later.

I made a cool discovery yesterday that I really want to share with you, but I've decided to do it in a separate post tomorrow. I think it's going to be fun - not only to share, but to tell you what I have in mind. I hope you'll be back tomorrow to see the reveal.

I'm going to keep this short today. I'm going to be working outside for a while, and I think it's best for me to get out there before it gets too warm. I'm just going to grab a big cup of water and I'll be on my way.

Time To Go Home…

Sewcial Sisters (l-r: Karen, Judy, Kathy D, MaryAnn, me, and Kay)
Our time is up at Primitive Gatherings’ retreat house. Did I tell you it’s called “The Gathering”? We’ll be taking a tour this morning, and then I’ll load up the Brynwoodmobile and turn for home.

I’ve had a wonderful time, got some things accomplished, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but I’m anxious to get back home. I have loads more photos to share, but I’ve been posting from my iPad, which is less than ideal for writing, so I’ll write a wrap up post tomorrow.

I don’t want to miss the tour, so I’m going to close for now. Come back tomorrow to see the rest. Gotta run!
