New In My Shop...

Brynwood Needleworks Flower Cowl - Natural/Tan Version Detail

It was a perfect day to knit at the farmhouse. I made a beautiful wool cowl to wear as a fashion accessory, or as a cowl with your winter coat.

This is the natural version, with tan and peach-tone, and deep green leafy wool roving flowers. I also have a black/fuchsia version available.

This is the actual version I knitted today.

I'm sharing these photos from the same wool, knitted and photographed when we still lived in Florida. This specific one already sold, but it gives you an idea of how the cowl sits on your shoulders, and of the size.

Brynwood Needleworks Flower Cowl - Natural/Tan Version - Side

This is the side view.  I designed this cowl pattern, and it was sold through Pagewood Farms, who manufactured the yarn. Their yarn is now discontinued, but I have a few skeins left in my inventory, so I decided to knit it into my cowl design for those who don't knit.

You can see from the back view that the roving flowers are interspersed all around the cowl, so it's pretty from any angle.

If you're interested, you can find it in my Brynwood shop HERE. I'll be making the black version soon, too. This one is ready in time for Valentine's Day, and the cold weather we're currently enjoying experiencing in Wisconsin!

Baby Shoes, Bakery Goods And A Blog Post...

I received my mail yesterday and found these sweet little Mary Janes inside a padded envelope. They were sent by my eldest niece's best friend, Joanne. She had seen my little baby shoe pincushions and asked me to embellish these shoes for her precious daughter, Evie to wear. (She named her daughter after my niece's middle name.) I'm just itching to get into the studio to make them the girliest, most charming, little shoes just for Evie. I promise I'll show you what I do with them!
Did I tell you that I really love the convenience of Moda's Honey Buns and Jelly Rolls? Honey Buns are precut strips 1.5" wide by 44" long. They are usually comprised of one strip of each fabric in an entire line. Jelly Rolls are precut strips 2.25" wide by 44" long, and are also one strip of each fabric in a line.

I have a whole drawer in the studio full of these "Buns" and "Rolls". (Are you getting hungry yet?) I'm going to be making some project bags again, and will be using these fabric lines for my bags...just soon as I can get some free time to myself in the studio.
Can you imagine how much fun it was for me to go to Pagewood Farm's blog site and see a post about our association? I was tickled, to be sure. Here's the link for you to read about it for yourself.

In case you're interested...You can also purchase cowl patterns (and finished cowls) in my Brynwood Boutique or my Etsy shop.

Oh, and I've also made a couple extra Mad Hatter's Teacup Pincushions and they are now available for sale in the Boutique.

Thanks for all your kind comments about the finished wedding gown. I really appreciate what everyone wrote. I promise to share lots of photos from the upcoming wedding.
