In The Pink...

Brywood Needleworks - Pastel Roses

If practice makes perfect, I'm getting there with my roses. I continue to work on roses and other leaf/floral designs for my BW Possibles Bags. I'm particularly fond of these colors.

None of them are listed in my shop yet, but I'm hoping to get all of them up by the weekend. I'll finish this one, sew the last two into new bags. Then, I can them into the shop.

I made bread yesterday, and then had to run out for last minute lab work at the clinic. Today, I'm having a bone density scan. I guess they're recommended at my age. sigh I'll sew when I get back home. I'm so over doctor's appointments.

    1. Hi Marilyn:
Thanks so much. Scan was easy - it wasn't one of those closed chambers. It was quite pleasant, actually. My tech was a love. Results within a week. Fingers crossed no osteoporosis. ;-)

    1. Hi MA:
I really like this one, too. I'll likely do more of this color combo. Scan went well. Everything will be scanned to my primary, and I should hear from her in a week or so. No more now, except for a long-overdue eye appointment, and a dermatologist in November. YAY!

  4. Your embroideries are so beautiful. Is there a special name for the technique you embroider the roses with? Or have you created the technique by yourself? Good luck with the doctor's appointment.

    1. Hi Marit:
Thank you so much, dear. The stitch I use is a cast-on stitch for the petals of the roses. If you'd like to see the technique as the roses are created, I'd steer you to Instagram. @sinacrafts. She does incredible pieces, and I learned the technique watching more than a few of her videos there. I hope that helps.
Doctor appointment went well. Now to wait until the doctor calls next week with the results. Thanks for the good wishes.
      Happy Weekend!!
