Almost Finished...

Brynwood Needleworks - Purple Passion Floral Embroidered Strawberry

The weather was perfect yesterday. It was a perfect day for needle dancing, too.
I managed to finish all the stitching on the special Floral Embroidered Strawberry, too.

I only have the stem to create and attach, and then this special order will be done.

This gorgeous linen is a small sample piece of the linen I'll be using to create a lovely Possibles Bag for my friend. I'm so glad I had the extra piece to practice on. Now, I know which flowers I'll be stitching onto the second project.

I love how this turned out, and I'm looking forward to creating the second piece. It's going to be fun to embroider the flowers I've chosen here, for the matching Possibles Bag. You'll see that one as soon as I'm finished with it.

Decisions While Dancing...

Brynwood Needleworks - Wedding Roses

This was a very nice weekend. I got in a little yard work with Handsome, dealt with too much a lot of laundry, Sunday brunch with my BFF, Lee, and a little needle dancing. I made a few decisions, too. I actually did less stitching than anything else, but between mowing the lawn with Handsome and needlework, I got in a lot of "thinking time".

This past year has been a bit difficult, having had four surgeries. I found out last week I have at least two more in my future. The doctor is great because she really listens to me, understanding how I'm not really anxious to plan for another surgery only three months since the last one. So, I've decided that I'm not going to have any further surgeries this year. I'm going to spend this time healing and enjoying my life without appointments, doctors, and clinics looming over me. I'll think more about such things after the first of the year.

I'm going to be showing at the November crafters event in Kewaskum, WI again, so soon I'll start production for that. I have wallets, handbags, and a few new design styles to make, plus I'm adding some of my needlework pieces to the lineup this year. I'll be concentrating on that beginning in early October.

After that, it will be time for my Christmas sewing/stitching, and then deciding if I'll be creating to enter pieces in the quilt guild's biennial show in Florida in February. That will mostly depend on whether or not Handsome will be going to Florida to make music this winter.

I think I'd better get out my date planner and start making a few lists. I've found that making lists is a great way to declutter my mind. That way, I can tick off items as I accomplish them, too.

So, now you know what I know. Carpe diem, right? And one day at a time. I think I'd better stop before I close with any more cliches'. Tag will see you tomorrow. I'll be back on Wednesday. Toodles...

In The Pink...

Brywood Needleworks - Pastel Roses

If practice makes perfect, I'm getting there with my roses. I continue to work on roses and other leaf/floral designs for my BW Possibles Bags. I'm particularly fond of these colors.

None of them are listed in my shop yet, but I'm hoping to get all of them up by the weekend. I'll finish this one, sew the last two into new bags. Then, I can them into the shop.

I made bread yesterday, and then had to run out for last minute lab work at the clinic. Today, I'm having a bone density scan. I guess they're recommended at my age. sigh I'll sew when I get back home. I'm so over doctor's appointments.

Completed Possibles Bags...

Brynwood Needleworks - Embroidered Hollyhocks and Roses Possibles Bags

This post will be heavy on images and light on words.
These two Possibles Bags will be listed later today.

Brynwood Needleworks - Embroidered Hollyhocks Possibles Bag

Each Possibles Bag is made of high quality linen fabric; measures  8-1/2" long x 6" tall; and has a zipper closure. The fabrics are reinforced with a woven fusible fabric, adding strength and structure to each bag.

I've attached a small silvertone acorn charm to each zipper pull.

Brynwood Needleworks - Rose Possibles Bag

This is the soft yellow rose version. The lining has the same soft yellow inside.

As I've said, they're named "Possibles Bags" because only you can find all the uses for a bag like this one.

Brynwood Needleworks - Back of Possibles Bags

This is the back of both bags, and will be the same for future bags in this line.

I'll have the bags listed later today. You can click on the Etsy link in my sidebar to see all my listings.

I Can't Stop - And I Don't Want To...

Brynwood Needleworks - Embroidered Yellow Roses

I've been busy with this new idea. I've finished these pale yellow roses, and am nearly finished with another one.

I've decided to call my embroidered zippered bags "Possibles Bags" because you can use them for almost anything. They'd make nice evening bags, makeup bags, or to hold your craft/needlework supplies. Just about anything you could possibly want to carry.

I'll be sewing this and a second one over the weekend, and who knows, I may even work on a few more, too. Handsome and I will be home today, but we're going to watch Grandson play college football on Sunday. What are you planning for the holiday weekend?
