Brynwood Needleworks - Tag's Travels |
Hi, Everybody!
I told you I'd be on the road again this week. I wasn't lyin' either. We got goin' first thing yesterday mornin', and by the time we stopped, we'd gone about 650 miles! We were movin' right along!

We left home at 6 am and by 10, we were crossin' from Florida into Georgia. They put these "Welcome" and "Don't Let The Door Hit Ya..." signs up since the last time we drove past here.

It takes eight hours to drive from our house to Atlanta, Georgia. We crossed into Tennessee two hours later. Mom knew we were gonna stop for the night around Chattanooga, so we pulled in for a second "rest" just south of there. It was rainin' from Atlanta north, so when we stopped at the rest area, everythin' was wet.
Mom came out of the people potty to take us to the dog walk. Instead, she slipped on the wet pavement and went down. She said she'd like to say the only thing she hurt was her pride, but she actually hurt her knee. What a trooper. She was all wet, her knee hurt and she still made sure that Bella and I got a chance to sniff around before we left there.

Here I am lookin' at her while she's tellin' Bella and me all about it. She was makin' ouchie noises, so I offered to drive. That really made her laugh. We got back on the road and she said she'd ice her knee when we got to the hotel.
We were actually only about ten miles from the hotel, so she figured it wouldn't take long to get to the ice machine. Little did she know that around the next curve, the traffic came to a complete stop. It took an hour and a half to go the rest of the way, and by then, her knee looked like a watermelon!

She was glad to get us fed and settled in for the night. She was sittin' with her knee on ice while I wrote this post. Bella looks like a much bigger dog here, but she's just closer to the camera. She's still a little girl (and probably won't get much bigger than the 50 pounds of her now).
We'll head into north central Illinois today. Mom said we're gonna stay out one more night, so we can get to the farm durin' the daylight. We'll have help there to unload our truck and get stuff into the house before it gets dark. She'll be able to rest her knee a little more, too, while we're travelin'.
Never a dull moment with us, right? Right! I hope there's no more excitement on this trip. I don't think Mom could handle it!
I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...

The sad, concerned look on Tag and Bella's faces is precious. Donna, take care of yourself and I hope your knee feels better today.
