A Day Of Surprises...

When I went outside yesterday, there was ice on the windshield of my Explorer. No, not frost. ICE! In south Florida. And the temperature was in the high twenties. Not the nicest of surprises, I must say.

Much better was the package I received from Linda at Robin's Egg Blues. She gave me this wonderful little gift just for leaving a comment on her blog one day.
She has a new blog header, and it's really beautiful. She's such a talented blog friend, and someone who used to come into my shop in Wisconsin years ago. I'm so glad we reconnected because of our shared interests. Please be sure to visit her blog if you haven't already. She's got lovely things and beautiful ideas to share with all of us. (I mean, just look at her lovely note, ribbon and packaging for the cameo!)

Thank you, my friend. I'll treasure my new, little Robin's Egg cameo.

  1. Ice in Florida? That just doesn't sound right! I can see why you taken aback!

I wouldn't suggest investing in an ice scraper just yet...so much for global warming! ;-)

  5. What a pretty gift! I love the cameo.

Most of my family is in South Florida, so they give me daily cold weather updates. They said one morning it was colder in Florida than in North Carolina!

I also saw on the news that in Plant City much of the strawberries are being destroyed. I wonder if that means no Strawberry Festival this year. Such a shame.

    Keep Warm!!!

  6. I seem to remember you were a part of that new header. And I seem to remember telling her that "yeah, she's an artist. Think I'd take her advice." Lovely gift!

  7. I keep watching the news about all of the cold weather. I don't know where it is really warm this year. It has been such an exception to the rule and we are suppose to be having global warming. We have been in the 20's the last two mornings. We had a freeing fog this morning. It makes the trees and all look pretty, but doesn't make for very good driving. Take care

  8. What a sweet and lovely gift! ... The more I read your blog, the more we have in common! I also drive an explorer! Our birthdays and anniversaries are in December, and I've been married 28 years...I think 28 was a special number for you too...I can't remember now...or maybe I'm completely mistaken...it's time for some sleep!
