Destination Wisconsin...

Brynwood Needleworks - Airstream

A few last minute things to do, and we'll be on our way. Handsome and I ran all our errands together yesterday. Yes. Thirty five years together, and sharing the load still always lightens the burden. Our mantra is "It's what we do."

So, today, what we will do is set our sights for the Midwest, family and friends. Together, we'll pass the miles and enjoy every single minute.

Tag and Bella are almost as excited as we are. They know something is going on, and they enthusiastically embrace whatever comes, simply because they trust us and want to be near us. They're great travelers, so they make the trip easy.

I think our first stop will be in Georgia. It takes nearly a day to get out of Florida, after all. We're planning three days on the road, and our northern destination will be Baraboo, Wisconsin first, and then on to Eden, where we'll settle to spend time with our family and friends. We'll be in Baraboo for Handsome's Windjammer's Convention. Music first, but one step stop at a time for now.

I'm looking forward to sharing our trip with you.

  2. Laurajane, I do so agree with your comment. I live in the UK and the thought of travelling such distances is intriguing. Such an exciting journey and so many experiences to share. Have fun and keep safe.

  3. Safe Travels as you enjoy the many miles and smiles along the way. When Mr. C and I go on a road trip and we are feeling like it is too far or that we are too tired, I simply think about the pilgrims traveling by wagon train and how long it took them to go the same distance as we are. Whew! It always puts my perspective right back in place. Tag and Bella will be lots of fun company. When we moved from So Cal to Nor Cal Mr. C drove our truck filled with stuff and had the company of our "free range" BooBoo Sasha kitty and she kept him entertained. I drove our car loaded with stuff and only had the company of deaf mute dolls and stuffed animals which gave me no entertainment what-so-ever. Happy Trails to You...
