A Treasury of Needle Arts - Drake Publishers |
Our guild met last night, and I always look forward to seeing my quilting friends.
My friend, Annie came up to me and presented me with a surprise! (Don't you just love surprises?) She had a crafting friend who passed earlier this year, and she thought I might like to have her friend's book. (She was right!)

Box of Patterns included with A Treasury of Needle Arts Book |
There is a jacket that holds a book, along with a book-size box containing patterns for some of the designs that appear inside the book. I haven't had a chance to take them all out, but this one looks like a fish and a starfish. Go ahead, tilt your head to the left and you might see fins, eyes and a fishy mouth. (Gosh, I hope I'm right about that!)
I'm so grateful that Annie thought about me when she saw this book, and then decided to give it to me. I'll take good care of it, my friend. Thanks, and thanks again.
Brynwood Needleworks - DPQG Member, Darlene. Dress A Girl Donation |
My second surprise last night was that guild member, Darlene, made another dress for our project. That makes 163 to date...and I know there are more on their way!
Thank you, Darlene, for adding another to our total. This is so wonderful. So many little girls will have new dresses!
LOVE surprises! What a great one you received! And, yes...I tilted my head...lol...and saw what you saw. And, WOW...am so impressed with the number of dresses that have been made. YAY! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteIs this primarily a quilting book? I order so many books that are not embroidery related.
