We Gathered Together...

l-r: Aunty Margaret, me and sister-by-choice, Sally
Such a lovely, lovely day. We ate lunch in the sunshine, shared stories with
people who mean the world to me, picked crab apples to bring home,
and planned when we'll see each other again. Too many miles between us.
Aunty Margaret and Uncle Dick
A strong love that's lasted over fifty years, sets an fine example for the next
generation. They have so many shared memories to tell, and we love listening.
l-r: Great nephew, Ethan me and niece, Stephanie
A perfect ending to a perfect day. A late day appearance by my niece and great
nephew resulted in dinner and a visit together before going our separate ways.
More memories in the making for all of us.
Life is short.
One Day I will regret not spending more time
with those I love the most...or those who love me the most.
Today was definitely not one of those days.

  1. Lovely photos. A really special day spent with some very special people. Yes, there is nothing better than spending time with family like this. I was lucky enough to do this recently at a family wedding. Such a wonderful time, all too short.

I enjoy seeing the projects that you are working on. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  7. Donna,
It sounds like your trip has been going so well. I wish I could have a trip like that. But as you know it isn't possible. Crabapples! Lucky, lucky you. My paternal grandmother had a crabapple tree. Best climbing tree in the world. She also had huge beds of rhubarb and asparagus. Then the city came through and bought her house and put a freeway there. Oh how my brothers and I mourned our climbing tree. I'm sure that grandma mourned a lot more but we were young and self-centered. What are you going to do with your crabapples?
