Dream A Little Dream...

Moda Clementine fabric collection
Still flat on my back - up close and personal with a heating pad. I finished and finished another book (The Art of Racing In The Rain) and loved it. Get a box of Kleenex before you start it.

But this "obsessive/creative" is dreaming about being back in the studio, diving into this particular fabric collection and making a wonderful, queen-size quilt to wrap around me. I'm thinking that I should get out that fabulous ruler that I used to make the Nantucket quilt to use on the jelly rolls (I have two of them!) and then use my other yardage for sashing, borders and backing. This post tells you all about the ruler and shows what my Nantucket quilt squares looked like.

So, until I'm back in the "saddle" and the studio, I'll just lie around and dream about my Clementine collection.

  1. Donna,

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. It must be hard taking care of little Tag right now. Hope you'll be feeling better soon.

I have spent some time looking at my UFO's and now I am TOTALLy annoyed at myself. Hugs to you, Kes and Tag, your Aussie friend, Sandy. :)

  7. Donna,
I have had back problems for a year and always used the heating pad. I went to physical therapy and they said ice instead because you want to reduce the swelling. It worked and my back felt a lot better for it. I thought I would let you know. I hope you feel better.

  9. Are you switching the heating pad for an ice pack every so often? This is what I had to do when I injured my back. Oh and definitely put pillows under your knees to relieve the pressure off your back. I have 18 years of experience with a painful back so I can relate to how you are feeling. As for your newest obession of fabrics...splendid! This will make a wonderful quilt with your fancy ruler (I went back and read your previous post about it). I can almost envision the pattern with your new fabrics. Please get well so you can be your creative self. Hugs and Healing...

  10. Flat on your back is a great opportunity to do some applique or stitchery. Though I would recommend it before the valium, or after the nap that the happy pill provided.
Glad to hear that this is not a horrible injury.
Hope you are back up and comfortable again soon...K

  11. I'm sorry to hear about your back! I hope you heal well and that it doesn't haunt you to much in the future.

Your pile of fabric is lovely, it certainly will cheer you to dive into that! Precious polka-dot print!

    Smiles, Cat

PS. Met a Corgi last night & he had a simply charming personality! He was black/tan/white.

  12. Hi Donna, What did you do to your back?? I know why mine bothers me and I didn't help it any when hubby fell and I helped get him up. I know they can be so painful that you want to cry. I am praying that you get to feeling better so that I can see the beautiful quilt you are dreaming about finished. Take care Your Missouri Friend
