I'm A Little Behind...

Seems "the hurry-der I go, the behinder I get". Today will be spent starting and completing ONE project because I've been neglecting my craft time.

But more importantly, I'm going to spend the day catching up on my blog comment correspondence. I fear that some of you might think I don't love you anymore because I haven't responded to the generous remarks you've left for me. Nothing could be further from the truth. I always read and enjoy everything you write to me, but have been lax of late in replying.

Today, I'm going to go through all the notes sitting on my server and (as long as you're not a "no comment blogger" - meaning you haven't left me an edress for response), I'll write a note to each of you. I suspect that this is going to be a major undertaking, so please bear with me.

You can't imagine how upset I would be if I thought any of you were angry with me for not writing back, so I'll do my best today and over the next few days. Intermittent web service, Taggart, a little travel and a monster case of laziness are all to blame. So, today, I'll put on my big girl panties and get to the business at hand. If you've left a comment for me in the past month and haven't heard back, prepare for a barrage of gratitude from me to you!

I just realized that I've written over 800 posts since I started blogging, so next week I'm going to have a giveaway...for my followers only. You deserve a chance to win something for always putting up with me! I'll see if I can't come up a giveaway that you'll really like.

  1. Donna,

Don't worry about comments for me.
You've had a lot going on this summer. However, I do need you to kiss that "little bunny butt" of yours on both ears. What a darling picture!

  4. Hey friend! Don't worry, I know you love me. I read what you say and don't always comment and when I do, I don't feel unloved if you don't comment back. I am very low maintenance, especially in the summer. Just consider this blog post your acknowledgment that I am still here and you are still there and we are friends.

Have a most wonderful day and hug your puppies and handsome too.
    Much Love,
    Carol

  5. Hi Donna, It is still hot and muggy here. We are already at 81 degrees and is suppose to be another day of 100 degrees. I am so tired of this weather. I don't know when it is going to cool down. Don't you hate it when a book leaves you hanging as you say it just stops. Your Tag is so cute. Well I have to go out in the heat and go to work. Take care. Your Missouri Friend.

  6. Donna your blog is such a joy who could be angry with you! Perish that thought...
I too get busy around the neighborhood and the first thing that suffers is my blog and crafting. I am always thinking that maybe when the snow flies I will have so much more time to work on everything, but then last winter I thought that and ...nada!
I will never quit your blog because when I have the time to visit my favorite blogs yours is at the top!
    Have a great "catch-up" day!

  7. No need to worry Donna. You know we all love coming here to visit.
I don't always have time to leave comments or answer comments either, but somehow I know that all the bloggers understand.

    hugs

  8. Summers are meant for being lazy -- especially when there is a new puppy to play with! We come to read, smile, admire, learn, commiserate and enjoy. No need for any guilt on your part!
    Love that photo!

  9. If anyone is angry and upset with you for not acknowledging a comment, they seriously need to get a life! Sorry to be so blunt, but I think we all truly try to do our best at our correspondence, but sometimes it just isn't possible to make the rounds.
    Real life comes first.

    Love Tag's cute little hiney!

    XO,
    Anne

  11. Hi Donna,
I just noticed on your side bar you are having a quilt along with the Farmer's Wife, guess what? I recently purchased the book from Amazon. I saw the book and fell in love with it, the stories are so fun to read and the quilt squares are beautiful.
Please let me know the date you plan to start the quilt along. I would like to join in but still need to go fabric shopping.
A big congratulation on 800 posts! Wow....I have been blogging for over three years and still haven't reached 200 posts yet..
    Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

  14. Gosh, no worries Donna. I think that all of us at one time or another get behind. I've been behind for the past six months and even with the best intents don't get to comment on everything that I would like to. Life gets in the way, right?

  16. I am so in love with Tag--today's picture with that irresistable little bunny butt--oh, he is adorable! Enjoy these puppy days; they go very quickly, but there's nothing like them. Louisa (the Newf) so wishes she could have a romp with a little Corgi. Maybe one day....Love, Eleanor

Spent time with David's family and they would have been hurt if I was on the computer the whole time and not visiting with them in the real world.
    Love ya,

  19. I always read your blog and love your blog.just have problems some times leaving comments and that is not because I don't love you...just the way things happen some times. Did you see my last post about my sweet little Granddaughter?
I have been having a ton of back pain and it is slowing me down on getting some crafting done for the sale next month and of course the hot weather isn't making it any easier. Take your time with the notes Donna..we will all be here when ever you get around to it :)
