Tag has been busy learning about being a good and faithful corgi. He borrowed a corgi book to look at the pictures. He's only three months old and hasn't learned to read yet.
I want to tell you how I chose his name. Many of the names in the past came from favorite books or movies. One of my favorite books is
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. One of the main characters is Dagny Taggart who owned Taggart Transcontinental Railway.
After going through my list:
Brody, Bromm, Frodo, Bilbo, Merlin, Chase, Dodger and many others, I decided that Taggart, aka Tag would be a perfect name for our new little guy.
We stayed with our dear friends, Doug and Marion during our trip. They are now Tag's first Aunt and Uncle. They were so sweet with him and know first-hand the joy of sharing their life with a corgi. Their beautiful Ben has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but will always be in their hearts, too. They were gracious hosts and we all had a grand time together.
One of the things I want Tag to know is that it's always important to stop and smell the roses. (Or in this case, hydrangeas.) I think that's something we should all remember.
Oh, I just love him! He's so cute. Reading the Corgi book...adorable. It really warms my heart to see the smile on your face. : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie..I never saw a Corgi until I saw yours and they look so sweet. I would stop to smell the Roses but when my beautiful peach colored Rose finally opened I noticed something eating it and I am pretty sure it is Japanese Beatles so looks like I need to get one of the bags they sell and then I will enjoy smelling all my Roses.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the doggie with the book. Not that easy to get cute pictures of Maggie LOL
Hi Donna
ReplyDeleteTag is beautiful. I think over time you will find him to be one of those REALLY special dogs. One that you will have an even more special bond with than others. He has what I call "people eyes". I can see that, even from his picture. He's a gem, and I am so very glad you found each other.
Much love,
Carol
he is so precious and I know he will learn to read soon... I amso happy for you all to have Tag in your life.... :D
