Fezzik Friday - 40 Weeks...

Hi, everybody!
Welcome to this week's Fezzik Friday.

You know that so far, I've had some pretty exciting adventures to share with you. Today is no exception. This week, I got to meet some of our new neighbors, which leads me to my newest career aspiration.

Do you think you could envision me as a goat herd? I know some of you might be giggling right about now, but I'm serious. Let me explain...
When Mom walked me past one of the neighbor's houses, I really had to use my Super Corgi Vision to see across their yard and pond. I knew there was something interesting, but at this point, I wasn't sure what it was. I was certainly curious.
Apparently, they'd never seen a Super Hero before either, because before I knew it, they were all coming over to check me out!
Goats, large and small, were trotting over to me. The big goats were much larger than I am, so I might have barked at them a little. I wasn't afraid, but I wanted them to know who the boss was.

I might have been glad that there was a fence between us for our first meeting, too. That big one in front was certainly an interesting chap and wanted to get to know me better!
I just quietly stood my ground as they all got closer and closer. I think I had them all mesmerized with my corgi-ness.

I'm hoping that Mom might talk with these neighbors to see if I could visit them on their side of the fence some time. (Mom said I'd have to stay on a leash so that I don't scare the little ones.)
At one point, I thought they might be impressed with my Show Dog pose. I know Mom was impressed, 'cuz she said so. Frankly, I think she's easily impressed. It doesn't take much to make her giggle. I guess it's another of my Super Hero talents, but I digress...
I stood still for quite a while as I contemplated this career choice. Hmmm. A lifetime of chasing and herding goats?
Mom. Can we go home now? I need to think about this some more. It was my first exposure to these critters, after all. I think I might take a little time before I make a final decision. I'm looking forward to visiting them again in the future. Maybe that will help.

What do you think? You know how much I appreciate hearing from you every Friday. Thanks for visiting again. 'til next week...

  1. Fez,

The corgi girls at Corgis In My Garden blog think you should reconsider this career choice. It's a dirty job chasing goats around a field and you're too handsome to be walking around with mud on your paws. Stick to assisting your mom in the studio and taking naps whenever you feel like it.

  2. Yo Fez! Are you nuts!! Do you KNOW what's out there in that field? Goat ka-ka. You know...poop. You better reconsider this gig. All you gorgeous Gorgi's got those cute short little legs. One run through that field and your chest be scooping up poop like a show shovel. Then next thing you know you'll be in deep doo doo because you won't be able to stand that smell and you'll jump in the pool and OMGosh I don't want to think about what your mom will do.....
Nope, you better think long and hard about this one, kid. But I was just thinking....how many dogs do you think know about that goat farm. Maybe you could be a tour dog..

  4. Wow -why in the world would you want to work for a living. So much easier to just be loveable and adoreable and let the humans do any work. Napping is my favorite pastime.

  5. Fez, I think the goats would love to have your corgi-ness in their company! I love the show dog post you gave them, I bet they were as impressed as your Mom :)! Have a good weekend and tell you Mom hi!

  6. Fezzik, seriously.....aren't you just way too cool to do that? Besides you'd be bored in minutes, and of course the goats would have already been besotted by you and then you'd leave and they'd all be heartbroken. You know the right thing to do is just not do it.

    Stay cool,
    Meri

  9. Show dog pose! You bet you do! Now this goat business....well while it does look interesting from a distance...that by the way, in my opinion, is the best point to view a goat from.
I know of a small hotel in Alabama where they have goats just outside of the parking lot. While staying there once I saw goats in the guest rooms while the maids cleaned! I always called it the goat motel after that and no we have not stayed there since.

  10. Now Fez this is one idea you really need to ponder...for a nano second. Those big dirty goats would step on you and run you ragged. That is no way for a Super Hero to be treated now is it?!! Keep working that "show pose" as it will bring you far more than herding goats. Happy weekend. Please give Kes a big licky kiss for me.

  11. Hi Fezzik,
I'm not sure about a career as a herder of goats! They like to play in the mud and eat everything in sight....so you would be getting your little white paws all dirty. Which, would end your show dog pose days. I'm just sayin.

  12. Hey There Fezzik!
So, I actually just bought a beanie baby the other day. It's a Ram... named Bam. HAHA! Anyways, the point is, me and my mom were trying to figure out what kind of dog this little ram reminded us of. I FINALLY figured out it was a CORGI! Me and mom laughed and instantly thought of you. :)
So far as these goats are concerned... well I would say to just be friends with them. I'm not sure how they would feel about being herded by a Super Hero! ;)

  13. Sorry I'm late Fezzik. :) You met some goats. I LOVE goats - they are (almost) as cute as you are. And very sweet. You were a good boy with them. They are nice animals and mean you no harm. Go ahead and visit with them again - I'm sure you'll become friends. :) Theresa
