The Explorer quilt is finished. I'm so glad that I love being in the studio. I was there all day yesterday as I machine quilted and then added the binding to The Explorer. By dinnertime, I had finished hand sewing the binding to the back and could enjoy yet another completed gift.
Today, I'll add the labels to Dolphin Island and The Explorer, wrap them up and prepare them for shipping. I hope the little boys I'm mailing them to will love and enjoy them for a long time.
I'll also create the program for the Orchestra's holiday concert next weekend, mail out our Christmas cards, and then wrap a few more gifts that will also be shipped to their recipients.
I want to review my list and see what's still left to do before I can rest this season. I know I'm doing really well for time, so I'm not concerned. My lists are lifesavers. Not only do they remind me of things I need to do - they're also a record of what I accomplish. I love my lists!
Prayers today for my friend, Jan of Bessie Mary blog. She's traveling to Minnesota's Mayo Clinic for eye surgery tomorrow. She'll be on my mind as she goes through her procedure, and in the days ahead as she heals. Perhaps you'd like to visit her blog and leave your healing wishes for her. I know she'd appreciate hearing from you.
Girl, you are a busy woman! I love The Explorer. It is so manly and the little boy will still love it when he is grown up.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had your skill. It is just super!

ReplyDeleteAhh the power of lists. I am not good at list making but Mr. C is excellent and I am trying to do better. Prayers for your friend and I shall leave such on her blog. Your finished quilts are just wonderful. Happy week to you my dear...
ReplyDeleteStrange strange just before I came over here tonight I thought to myself that before I turn into night I had better have me a list made out for tomorrow and possibly the whole week. You can imagine the look on my face when I come by here and you are talking about a list. lol
ReplyDeleteLove your explorer quilt. Your lucky boys will love it

You are a busy lady and I really love the quilt. I also love my lists. I make a list of gifts every year with the name and what I gave..then I highlite the name when I have them wrapped. I have lists from at least the past 20 years or more...fun to go back and read :)
ReplyDeleteI also make to do lists and it does help.
I know these little fellas are going to be thrilled with these explorer blankies ... you are one amazing gal, Donna.
