Christmas Creatin' and A Sore Pup...

I'm just going to share a cryptic photograph today. I was working in the studio on another Christmas gift, but can't give too much away. This project was almost finished yesterday, but I had to shut down the machines to go get Kes from the vet's office.

She had a scheduled dental appointment and she needed to have two teeth extracted. If we're not careful, she'll be "gumming" her food! Darn genetics! She's doing fine, but she was pretty uncomfortable last night. Well, partially my fault, because I had the vet give her toenails a "show cut", too, as long as she was sedated. That means really short nails, which were also really sore. I'm sorry, Kessie, but it was starting to sound like the Rockettes whenever you walked on the tile! I'll give her some extra TLC for a few days and she'll be right as rain.

So, this is going to be a short post because I can't really show you the nearly finished product. Of course, I'll have scads of photos after Christmas, so you'll be able to see exactly what this became.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho. It's back to work I go...(Sing it with me, now!)

  5. Hehe, my grandma always called our dog "Toenails" instead of by his name, because it also was crazy-clacking when he walked on the hard floors!

  6. My beautiful needle holder arrived today!!! If you think that's imperfect, you'd really be amazed at some of the imperfect things I make and call perfectly fine. I think it's amazing! Thank you so much, I still have the needles in the thing they came in, years ago, and needed something nicer for them!

  8. Hi Donna! I sure hope your sweet poochie is feeling better. Oooch, the thought of short nails is worse than the no teeth! ... I LOVE your sewing room and I REALLY loved reading your 10 Things About Me post! You're so funny! The Secret Service story and how you met Handsome were my favorites! Hugs, Paulette =D
