The World Trade Center circa 1999 AP photo
Taken before September 11, 2001. The day that changed everything.
I remember exactly where I was when it happened. Everyone does.
None of us will ever forget. We shouldn't. We can't. We won't.
Take a moment today to reflect and
know that we are truly blessed to live in this great country.
God Bless America

Donna, I hope you are right about remembering...thanks for helping us remember.

Tears well up at the memory and pictures, but yes, we should remember and stay focused.
ReplyDeleteYes, we should remember. We should also take the time to celebrate those who were lost, their incomplete life and celebrate those who live on.
ReplyDeleteWe are blessed, and should continue to fight and strive for what we think is right. We will always remember, just as we should remember all other attacks to our soil, our military personnel and our country's rights. I will keep it all in my heart today. xo Jessica
ReplyDeleteWonderful post...we won't forget, Donna.
ReplyDeleteWe should always remember. I lived just north of Manhattan on that day, having just moved East. My husband was out of town, working in Canada. I heard no sounds outside that day but the drone of stealth fighter jets flying over my house toward Manhattan. We lived about a half mile from the Hudson River. My husband says he never wanted to be back home as strongly as on that day. Terrible and horrifying. So much loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tribute. Twyla
ReplyDeleteWe will never forget and our lives have been changed forever. Sharon
