Tuesdays With Tag - I've Got A Little Hitch In My Giddyup...

Brynwood Needleworks - A Little Under The Weather

 Hi, Everybody!

I'm comin' to you from my own little corner today...from my own little bed.  Seems I did somethin' to my right back leg over the weekend. I'm havin' to walk with that leg in the air right now.

Don't feel too sorry for me. I can still run like the wind if I wanna chase Carly in the house, but I'm doin' it on three legs instead of four. Mom and Dad are makin' sure I only go outside on a leash, and when I do try to chase one of the girls in the house, I get reprimanded. I'm not allowed to chase the cat either. I'm seriously not havin' much fun right now.

Mom called Dr. John's office yesterday, and I have an appointment to see him tomorrow. I'll probably get meds and orders for bed rest, so I'm gettin' an early start. Mom said we match. Both of us are limpin' on our right wheel. I wonder if Mom can use some of the medicine I'll probably get? Nah. I don't think so either.

I'll let you know what's what next week. I guess I better get back in my bed before Mom puts me in my kennel instead. I've gotta take it easy at least until I see the doc. Don't get me wrong. I like my kennel, but sleepin' in my livin' room bed is even better. Laters...

I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...

Tuesdays With Tag - Anticipation...

Brynwood Needleworks - Taggart

Hi, Everybody!

I woke up Monday mornin' thinkin' that this week was gonna be awesome. You know, filled with chasin' the cat; barkin' my fool head off at the wind or any other minute noise; and other stuff like that. Instead, I find out I have an appointment.

Compassionate Care Animal Clinic - Elkhart Lake, WI

I don't even know why she told me. It just means I have to worry about it until it's over. Nooooo. I have to go to the vet for my annual checkup. Great.

Compassionate Care Animal Clinic - Dr. Prellwitz & Winnie

On a good note, I'll get to see Dr. John. I really like him - even though I'm used to Dr. Stephanie and the ladies at Animal Medical Clinic in Florida. He takes really good care of me (and Bella and Carly, too!).

What's botherin' me is I know I'm gonna get at least one shot. Mom got a reminder sayin' I'm due for my rabies shot, and of course, she had to tell me. So, now I get to think about that until after I get it. I just hope there's a treat in it for me when it's all over. Yeah. I can't wait until it's all over.

I'll see you again in seven. 'til then...

Tuesdays With Tag - Caught Me By Surprise...

Brynwood Needleworks - Tag

Hi, Everybody!

I've gotta admit, yesterday took me by surprise. Mom said, "Ride!" to Boo and me, and we ran to the garage! We were in the car for about a half hour, and then Mom pulled into a parkin' lot. The Black Dog and I knew right away where we were...

Brynwood Needleworks - Our Vet's Office

Dang! Mom took the two of us to the vet's office. Once we were in our exam room, she explained it was time for my annual checkup, and Bella's vaccinations. Mom was a little worried about me because I yelped a couple days ago when she patted my back end, so that was on the list, too.

Brynwood Needleworks - Danger! Danger!

While we were waitin', I looked up at the counter and saw this thing. It is not my friend, so I hoped it wasn't for me. It turns out, they didn't use it, but I got somethin' even more humiliatin'.

Dr. John checked my back end, and found another issue to deal with. Mom said it had somethin' to do with my "annual glands". It involved the vet squeezin' somethin' on my butt...and I wasn't amused even. one. bit. I do have to admit, though, I felt better after he was done. We got our shots, I got my toenails cut, and that other stuff, and then we went home with Mom. We're good for another year. Whew!

Meanwhile, that little punk was runnin' and fetchin' in Florida. She's havin' the time of her life. She doesn't have to tell us. Her mom and I have both been there. It's a vacation of the best kind. Good for her! snort

Tuesdays With Tag - I Was Duped!...

Brynwood Needleworks - Tag At The Vet's Office

Hi, Everybody!
This isn't gonna be a long post today. I don't have much to say.

"Come on, Tag", she said. "It will be fun, sweetie", she said.

Stoopid me. A car ride? Sure, why not?

Well, I'll tell ya why not. VETERINARIAN! That's why not!

Sure, the girls think I'm cute. The vet (a nice man, by the way) thinks I'm a smart guy (he's right), but when you get right down to brass tacks, what the actual heck?! I get weighed (you ladies can relate, right? I know Mom can!), poked, prodded, toenails practically cut off my feet!!!, and the ultimate insult...SHOTS!

Frankly, I never turn down treats, but if they think they can bribe me with anything less than a steak dinner, they've got another think comin'! I took my snack, waited for Mom to pay the lady, and I was on my way outa there!

Bella had a vet appointment, too. No shots or meds for her, as she might be "pupulated", but she got plenty of attention, and her vet (Dr. Whitfill) gives her Cheetos™! Cheetos, I tell ya! Where can a guy complain?

I'm up to date for another year (or so), but I've got some meds to take, and otherwise I'm a picture of good health. (Well, I mean...I oughta be!) Mom said I need to lose two pounds to get back to my fightin' weight. I can do that. Hey! Has anybody seen my treat jar? I gotta go...
