A project of this magnitude requires significant planning.
Additionally, there was much discussion as Handsome and
I made this decision together. Now it's time to put our plan into action.
That's right, boys and girls. There are going to be some changes made!
Have you heard the word "blivet" before?
It means ten pounds of you-know-what in a five pound bag.
That's my studio....
and bath closet adjacent to the studio...and a few other places, too.
Stuffed to the gills and needing a serious makeover.
This is the only clue I'll share today about the next ten days.
There won't be much "creating" in the studio during this time. I'll
actually be busy creating a new studio space with Handsome's help.
Handsome and I are heading out first thing today to choose new
flooring for two rooms. Then, we'll be selecting paint colors as we
prepare to roll up our sleeves, bring in the flooring experts and get
this transformation started. I suspect I'll go to bed each night with
a smile on my face, but perhaps a Tylenol and heating pad, too.
Are you interested in seeing my progress each day on this project,
or would you rather have me post other creative ideas while I tame
this chaos? I always love to entertain you (so does Tag), but I'm not
sure if you'd like to see this whole process as I completely transform
two rooms in our home. Please let me know what you'd like to see.
I'm so ready for this wonderful metamorphosis to begin!
Please, please, please show your progress! My prayers that all will go well and the tylenol won't be needed.

Yes, I would agree with Julie on this one. Please do show your progress. I could do with some inspiration for revamping my own workroom. It is far too cramped for comfort and I don't have nearly enough worktop space.......
ReplyDeleteHope all goes smoothly with your own plans.
I wpuld love to see the transformation as it happens, please. Love to Tag.Blessings
ReplyDeleteDonna please show the transformation in progress. My sewing room resembles yours and that is a project for this summer, to totally redo my sewing room studio and start over. Good Luck and keep the Tylenol handy.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I want to see the transformation process. It may give us all some ideas or hope, at least, that we too will one day tame our space!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely want to see it. I'd really like to hear whether you kept everything (fabric/supplies) or let some go. I did a big purge when I moved my sewing room, but I still feel like I have TOO MUCH STUFF. And more keeps coming in, but dammit, I needed that 2 1/2" ruler. Purging my closet this weekend, as we're trapped by the Marathon road closures on Monday. Donna, have a blessed Easter. Tag, try to score a little bit of ham. It's almost bacon.
ReplyDeleteYes I would like to see every step of this project. I am so happy to learn there is a real word for my affliction...blivet! Blimey...I have Blivet! How exciting to build your space anew. Careful with power tools and moving furniture dear...
ReplyDeleteHow very exciting, Donna! I just know its going to be wonderful. I'd enjoy seeing your progress but you'll have a lot going on! I bought yarn today ;). Thanks so much! Twyla
ReplyDeleteI just want to see ALL of it. LOL
ReplyDeleteYes!!! I can't wait to see it, step by step. Tylenol by Tylenol!!! It's going to be wonderful!!! And I would miss Tag terribly.
ReplyDeleteLove, Eleanor
Always interested to see whatever you post. Step-by-step certainly seems to be the consensus and I'm good with that. I'm amazed that this is all going to take just 10 days! Have fun.

ReplyDeleteWorks in progress please. I need the motivation to make some changes too. Can't wait to see what you are up to, with Tag's impressions too! :)
ReplyDeleteI want the day-by-day, as it happens kind of thing - I'm keen to see what you do Donna - your taste is so impeccable!
ReplyDeleteI agree, would love to see it bit by bit! Can't wait.
