That's The Way It Goes...

I'd love to share some wonderful story with you today to explain why I'm not sharing a newly completed project. Perhaps a story of how I tripped through fields of chickory and Queen Anne's lace with the dogs would have been appropriate. I do like my "thoughts on a joyful and creative life" mantra, you know.

The truth is, I'm mostly flat on my back with a heating pad (and an occasional valium), having sprained my back over a week ago. It's getting better, but I've run out of cute stories, puppy pictures and book reviews to hide the fact that I've been a slacker. I'm left with the cold, hard truth. (I really am reading all those books, though!)

Please don't fret. I'll be back to my obsessive/creative (did I just make up a new term?) self soon...and I'll have something interesting for you to read about tomorrow, I promise. You're all my friends, so I know you'll understand.

  1. Donna, I think you hit the nail on the head, obsessive/creative, haha! Why is it we think we have to "do" and "accomplish" something each day. you have my permission just to rest and relax and get to feeling better!
no need to finish any projects, we love you anyway! xoxo Debra

  3. Donna, I hope you get to feeling better soon! I feel your pain, days go by when I can't function due to the constant back pain I have. Thank goodness though for my ability to cross stitch while laying down or I'd be in the loony bin! ;0) Take care!

  9. Well, I loved the picture of your hat!! I'm a hat person and there are very few I don't covet.

Did you figure out what you did to hurt your back so you can avoid doing it again? How are you keeping that Corgi under control while you are reclining ~lol~.
    Take care
    xx, Carol

  16. Miss Donna I am so sorry you have been under the heating pad with your back in pain. I would never think you were slacking! I was hoping you were tripping through the fields of wildflowers with Tag and Kes...okay add in Handsome but somehow that image isn't clear. May your back recover very soon so you can be your wonderful obessive/creative self once again. Sip some lemonade with those valium...

  23. Ouch! I'm so sorry I didn't see this post sooner. Must have come up when I had the grandkidlets running underfoot.

I hope the pain has eased up by now. Alternating heat & cold is what I've been told helps it. My older sis, who has mega issues with her's, swear by ice on & off for 20 mins. at a time.

Gentle Hugs & I hope you're feeling better real soon.
